    I'd ordered some Herve Leger Intrigue samples, not realising that the perfume is now discontinued, so took the samples into work just to give to the ladies, and got a new customer! Just goes to show, even dishing out discontinued stuff works!

    My Asm finally got back to me... !
    Can someone help me interpret my territory please? I've copied a couple lines (mines the post codes...)

    * 2 - 25 (all) THE HILL) 9 3 £13.00
    * 55 - 55 (all) ST ROAD) 11 3 £15.00
    * 10 - 11 (all) SFORD ROAD) 26 8 £30.00
    So my guess... first bit with the * is the house numbers... then the road, then number of houses that should be? which makes no sense if you look at the numbers 2 - 25 = 9 houses, and 55-55 = 11?! Ok I know they don't mean literally 55-55 but there are still only 9 houses there...
    then I'm guessing next number is estimated customers? and expected amount for them?

    I have the territory I really didn't want :( it includes my Grandma, my uncle and my Grandad, their friends and neighbours, my neighbours (there are only 6 of us down this drive), my school friends, my sisters school friends, my Grans friends from WI, my nans cousins, my dads childhood friends, the people whose pets I look after...
    Basically I have a territory which includes all my F&F and it's spread over 9miles all the big groups of houses are taken so mine are dotted here there and everywhere....and I've got all the mega mega posh ones... the Countess of Mar lives in my territory...
    I wish I lived in a town, or at least on a proper street not stupid warren of drives.

    Anyway... I'll stop whining... did I guess the territory translation correctly?

    When I originally got something like that from my ASM it was:

    Postcode and address / houses / potential customers / Expected spend I think?

    This to me is a load of rubbish as according to my 'stats' I have 268 houses, 79 potential customers and should be averaging £340 a time. I have less than this including f&f and odd customers dotted about and £340 is a good campaign for me now. How they expected customers on the road I live in to spend £70 a time I don't know, nearly all the houses are rental, no English, or students :rotfl:

    If I was you, I'd put the postcode into the R0yal Mail address finder and check what addresses are associated with those postcodes even if you know the area very well. I couldn't understand how one small cul-de-sac on my territory registered as 1-69. Turns out it goes 1-19 then jumps to 69 which is actually 2 flats and I have a similar problem with another road only many more houses converted to flats. The joys of living in an area bombed during the wars and then patchy re-builds or converted to student housing :rotfl: I also did g00gle street view to check where houses I was allocated started and finished. ;)

    I have my C3 personal order to put in on Thursday, I'm replacing my make-up as the stuff I have is going horrible/drying out and I will make the effort to look better on a daily basis this year. As DD keeps kindly pointing out, I look human with make-up on :rotfl:

    Tomorrow I'm preparing my C4 books to go out, ready to collect next week. I'll also have to do my tax return and apply for my exemption certificate as I've had a bill for NI a couple of days before Christmas (and I found it stuck to the fridge today :o), seems I forgot to reapply :o

    Doing better sales wise than I expected. Determined to try and do more on my avon Facebook and to start recanvassing our territory with expired brochures soon as then the short campaigns are out of the way I feel like things can get back to normal (well my new normal while
    I'm still on maternity leave - which is my motivation for selling more as obviously my wage is down compared to normal.)

    Hello all, I wonder if anyone is able to help - as it's my 4th order, I got a leaflet through saying I could order a bundle of perfumes for £25. Now I've lost the leaflet! I don't suppose anybody else is on their 4th order and has the code? - FOUND! :D Really wanted City Rush, why pay £12 for that one when I can pay £25 for that and 9 others!

    Trying to find inspiration to get out in the cold - it helped today though meeting a customer's new puppy!
    :)

    Its been very slow since Christmas it feels, brochure 2 was very small with orders did manage to make HOV and just made it with brochure 3 too but have had to put few bits in to bump the order up.
    Its also been bad as Ive not been able to canvass my new territory i aquired before Christmas as my little one has had his tonsils out the other week so we have been stuck at home and not allowed to be freed till next Monday. I can't wait till Monday as I feel a new lease of energy to get going and try and build up the business bit more this year.

    Still bit unsure if I want to go down the Sales Leader route now just not sure if I will have the time. If anyone here is a SL could you please confirm some bits for me.
    1. My SL says she will pay for all the new books for anyone I get signed up. Is this true or will this be not an ongoing thing. She was not very clear on this and not sure if she was just saying that to get me to start as a SL.
    2. Im hoping to go back to some sort of work not sure full or partime come September when my little one goes to school but dont want to start being a SL if it might have an impact on carrying on the SL come September. Any ideas how much time you really need to spend as I will still want to continue with my regular rounds.
    Need an unbias opinion from all who wont be making money off my sales :P

    Hope everyone has had a great start to the year x

    Hi - only a quick reply while my baby sleeps but-
    After your first 2 campaigns you'll get refunded for brochures directly when someone you sign up places an order & pays for it - so if you get people join but not place an order/go to debt you're out of pocket.

    Time wise - you need 5 reps to earn (there is more to it than that but that's the basic thing you need to bare in mind) - so if you can get a decent sized team before you get another job then you can do less to just keep things ticking over. Consider the fact that some reps won't stay for long, but some you get could be with you for years if you're lucky.

    It's something you need to think about carefully, I did it for a while (I'm still technically a sl but haven't recruited since 2012 so I don't earn anything as my team is too small now. It was great for me for a time, earnt a decent amount, but - I found there became too many people trying to recruit for it to be possible to get decent reps, I just kept getting people messing me about (cancelling appointments, not being in, not ordering etc), that I got fed up and decided to put more effort into getting customers as although overall it's more work I feel it's more guaranteed earnings as it's much harder to end up out of pocket as a rep, but sl requires investment ( travelling costs etc) and I couldn't justify it anymore as my heart wasn't in it.
