ajs2013 - Thanks for your help! Avon have told me to just order the brochures and the correct amount will be charged.
In regards to the demo items - I have gone onto the credits section but there is no code for returning demo items - anyone know how to return demo items? Or do you just select the code that fits best?
Once you have saved your credits what do you do then? Is it just a case of parcelling them up and sending them to Avon? Sorry if this seems like a really stupid question but its only my 2nd campaign and I haven't sent anything back yet!!
Thank you!

Hi Claire, Im assuming you mean what code do you choose when saying why you want to return the item. Im not 100% sure as never returned demo products before but maybe just choose one that fits the reason u no longer want it, or maybe call the centre up, if you can get someone easy to understand they might be able to help u there.
With regards to packaging - what i do is save one of my boxes from deliveries and if i need to return any items i just place them in there (if they are leaking i put them in a sealed ziplock bag) and just fill out the return book putting one copy in the sealed box and place the returns label (found on the back of your invoices) on the top of the box. then on the next order send it back with the courier (unless its an aerosol then u have to send via another method it is explained on website)
Make sure the courier signs ur returns book as this is your proof its been sent back. This is a MUST.
Think thats everything but if you look in your returns booklet it will explain what you need to put where. sorry im crap at explaining things so hope ive not just waffled0 -
I, Geek this article says avon have 16,000 reps here
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/you/article-2034399/Avon-125th-anniversary-Who-wants-millionaire-Meet-reps.html0 -
I think the number in that article's a typo (but then the 11k in the BBC article could be typo as well - it seems small). The 160k number has been bandied about for a long time and I've heard it from many SLs who've come back from PC dinners and SL events. At the PC dinner I went to in September, we were told there are 250,000 UK reps but when I asked other SLs about it they said that was quite a rounding up and the official figure still lies around 160k.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.
I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Thanks I,Geek, coz I was thinking if UK only has a similar no. of reps to France then we could be next0

Looking for a bit of advice regarding bag sizes...
I have some small paper bags already, I'm planning on getting some large plastic bags, my friends don't mind random plastic bags but have a few orders off their relatives this time thought I'd go a bit posher for them and I have a couple big orders this time... even after all these problems I've had getting the books! crazyness. But anyway...
Is it worth getting medium plastic or paper? Or am I better just getting more large plastic?
How boring is this question... what are your bag recommendations? lol.
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -
My personal opinion Pixtotts is to buy the paper bags, i get medium and large paper bags as i find they are far more cost effective and yes they may not be as heavy weight as the plastic ones, they dont often break unless your hugely bruital with them during delivery times. Ive never gotten the small paper bags as the medium ones are just bit bigger than a catalogue size so bit sure how sizewise they compare. My personal opinions though, I know a lady who uses the brochure bags and prefers them for her orders so guess its personal to everyone.
I find the med bags are good for perfumes maybe 4 boxes and a few small items squished in and the large paper bags are great for bottles of bubble baths even the 1ltr bottles.0 -

Went to pick up books from my old work place today only to discover someone elses books there
I've been the rep since Feb 2011 when I started, but I've never known anyone else to bother. Receptionist is going to find out who it is for me. Most disheartening was that their books appeared to be fullof orders, but mine only had 3 in from my usual 3 customers. From what I can see though there was no indication as to who the rep was.
Today is the day I collect my books in from customers. Of 73 books I have another 32 to collect tonight as they haven't been left out like I asked. This campaign I've lost another 4 customers although some of those are ones I picked up last campaign so obviously they didn't read the note with the last book which said "only leave out if you want more".
My order total so far is £227 which is no where near last years total of £557I can tell my 2 best customers have cancelled getting books (1 moved well out of my area, 1 asked for no more books). Plus I still have £52 worth of orders sitting here waiting to be paid for  1 customer I think is away (I'll keep hold of hers as she could be visiting her sick son in London), another was away and told me to try and deliver which I did but she wasn't around and still no signs of life at hers, another is a c/o her mums so waiting on her showing up there before I can deliver and another is an elderly couple who said they're having problems with the money not coming through to their bank account.
This is just starting to get more depressing the more I look at the figures.:(
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Sorry to hear it's not going well Nicki. I've had a slump over the summer, lost customers because they just lost interest, ditched a couple of difficult customers, did one collection from my 3 "zones" that just scraped MOV in the end back in C15, and put a number on the number of timewasters (people who said they were mad-keen and saw books for months on end and never ordered). The timewaster number was getting pretty close to the number of customers I have, which was depressing. I have to accept that customers will fall away and not every promise of interest will turn into an order. I also felt like the novelty was wearing off with long-term customers. That's why re-canvassing's so important for all of us - it keeps us topped up with fresh interest.
Sorry if I've misunderstood this bit: "This campaign I've lost another 4 customers although some of those are ones I picked up last campaign so obviously they didn't read the note with the last book which said "only leave out if you want more"."
Were those 4 people all new customers last campaign, or do you mean you picked up their brochures and took that to mean they wanted you to carry on calling? Don't get me wrong, I drop customers who haven't ordered for ages and aren't spending enough to justify brochure costs and my time - but those ones who left their books out sounded like they wanted you to keep going, but they just happened not to order this time.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
