We were back home on Saturday as Mackenzie is doing great :) days are flying by so quickly. Thankfully the avon customers that hadn't had their orders yet have been happy to collect them, and one has even had the thought that as she has a cold to delay collecting until she's better. Makes you realise how nice people can be :)

Territory can be an issue - but when it's done right it works amazingly well, it's just when reps do their own thing and as you've mentioned when sl don't allocate territory. If the sl isn't sorting it - you can contact the area manager, and if that doesn't work you can go above them to the dsm - if you find another sales leader they will probably be happy to send you the details you would need - easy to find lots of sales leaders on Facebook to ask them - I know you shouldn't need to, but as with all things in life sometimes you have to push for what you need.

if a sales leader can't bother herself to allocate territory what is the rep to do in the meantime?

In this case the new DTMA system has been down so every SL who wanted to allocate territory couldn't. It seems to be back up (I got a report from my ASM a couple of days ago) so it's back to pestering uplines to get streets allocated. As much as I think SLs shouldn't be signing people up if they're not sure how to use DTMA, it's still very new at the moment so I'd give some SLs the benefit of the doubt (if there's been a delay) that they're just getting used to the new system. SLs should be communicating this to their teams, though.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Territory really does just sound like a headache at the moment, with all the confusion and what not I've already decided on waiting for a while before I think about getting one anyway thank god.

More annoyingly I still don't have my books for my second campaign I really can't express how annoying its getting, my ASM (she signed me up) hasn't replied to any messages since the day my first order was due in. So I haven't been able to get any brochures to current customers at all. New I'm giving the last brochure to but the ones who have already had that are just waiting about I know at least 3 would definitely order :(
12 days left of this campaign now too :(

Don't suppose anyones anywhere near Worcester and has any brochure 16's spare...?

I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

the sad thing is that your ASM is only interested in LOA1's (people that place their first order with Avon)
my best advise would be to email your DSM, and cc your ASM into it, explain how you have lots of friends interested and want to be a sales leader, ok lie?, then see how quickly your ASM gets in touch, especially if she isn't hitting targets?

Keep complaining to Avon customer services which is what I am currently doing. I am now not going away lightly until my ASM or my avon connects account is re activated. (4 wks waiting for my ASM now and 3 months for my Avon connects) Frustrated beyond belief now.
It is very odd that the more i look around the more people I find frustrated with their SL or ASM or the way Avon handles things. What is going on with the company.

My DSM has been notified twice and still no response there either. Wish I could pick and choose who I could be under but guess its like family, you cant pick and choose.

Haha who needs 2 families eh :P
Hope your stuff gets sorted soon sounds like its been an absolute nightmare!
Heard back from my ASM last night, said she's been off ill for a week but that she would bring them over today... now just wait 'n' see I guess. She was really lovely though so I'm hoping I'm a good judge of character and that she will... we all have life get in the way of things sometimes... (my mum says I'm too forgiving... lol).

That's good to hear all is going well.
And bless them you have some lovely customers :). Though I truly believe the nature of the customers depends on the people who are serving them (for lack of a better way of putting it) so take it as a compliment that you have such nice customers :D

Update 4.25pm and I'm still waiting... :/ don't think I'm going to be getting them today gah! If I don't get them soon there is really no point order for the book I'm waiting for is 21st! Soooo annoying! :'(

  • Hello Avon people!

It seems to be a trend in regards to ASM's/SL's not being as interested after your first order. I am still waiting on 20 more C16 books - have texted her several times and to be fair she did call me and I missed it (I did then call her straight back but no answer) I am planning to text her again tomorrow and tell her I am working from home tomorrow - if I hear nothing then well....I'll probably text her again! :S

As I will be paying for my next lot of books I have a question about canvassing. I have been assigned 35 flats and when I posted my first books I think 4 said they weren't interested (I put through a little note with text boxes as per the advice from you lovely lot!), 6 ordered from me - the other 25 didn't tick anything but I didn't get all the books back (I probably got 7 back out of the 25).

Is the best thing just to keep posting until they actually let me know that they are really not interested? (I am guessing the answer will be yes!)

Also - I know there is a Weight Watchers meeting every Thursday at my local church - is it acceptable to go there and leave books and order forms? Has anybody done this type of thing before? Was it successful?

    Ta!
    Claire :)

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Well after my major recanvass last campaign, tomorrow I will be putting out 74 books. Now that's up on the 40ish I have been putting out but whether I can keep those figures up is another matter considering how many I think just put the books out and have no intention to keep getting them. I can but hope, especially as my latest invoice says my sales are £3497 for this year, but the same campaign last year I was at £4,832 and the year before that £4,638 so I'm £1000+ down this year to date  I didn't realise it was that bad. :(
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
