Agreed order forms were a pain. But I did think that some of the pictures and the product spreads were better in landscape.

Totally agree about landscape format enabling improved product photospreads but:

    a) it's more difficult to post them through doors as they're too floppy
    b) it requires more effort to scan/look through so chances are people get bored and give up
    c) you can't 'flag' landscape format books
    d) possibly me but I found it very frustrating when I was trying to 'flick through' to verify a query re. a customer order i.e. if you 'fan' them you don't see much

Oops, additional comments should've been in reply to !!!!!! Here's post...

All good points, the sort of thing to feed back more 'formally' to Connects I'd have thought :)

I've lost 3 (soon to be 4) SLs in my downline this year - one was even ASL, who reckoned she was better off going back on Benefits.... :(

An interesting juxtaposition - from self-employment with no guaranteed income to a guaranteed income without the inconvenience of having to work for it at all :rotfl:

Yeh I think SL is great if you can afford to invest in it, which we did do before and I had the energy (and inclination) to do it. Just seems too much bother now for the return, especially when some customers I've picked up from Facebook spend £50+, it seems like a more guaranteed income the rep side with minimal costs from our part, whereas Sl is much more unknown. I've definitely enjoyed my time as a SL and I might change my mind in the future, but for now ill just be doing Rep work :) sorry to hear your loosing so many SL MC, sounds like Avon do need to have a re-think as something is going wrong somewhere. It might be perhaps in the future reps have to pay to join upfront, then at least Sl wouldn't be out of pocket for books - that has always been my major irritation as even if you recruit close to home to keep fuel costs down, if they don't place an order but you can't get your books back from them, it's still cost you money, not the person who changed their mind.

Did see the thread there and pretty sure others have already covered the same points... and more.

Yes, agree with you Lozza; certainly in rural areas you do need to be able to finance yourself as a SL to a certain extent in the beginning (guess it's easier if you're in a city). The SLship model works best if you climb the ranks quickly and earn all the BDBs.

Do wish Avon would concentrate more on helping us keep reps/SLs rather than continually recruiting new ones so they benefit from the set-up fees.

Anyone else finding stock supplies a problem? Loads of bubble bath last time didn't come, came this time, swimsuits have been coming 2 campaigns later, and this time bits of make up and sunglasses are to follow. Very annoying, especially as soon it'll be summer holidays so hard to catch some customers in,

No proof but do suspect that the higher you are up the echelon the less problems reps/SLs have re. stock. Suppose it makes sense to support the high achievers and, presumably, a certain amount of stock will need to be held back for the later mail plans.

Deffo worth keeping in touch with your upliner as they may have a PC member on their team willing to help if you're desperate for something.

Slim chance my up liner is my asm! Dh is pc, admittedly only bronze, but he's having just as many problems as when we order on my account, if not more which has surprised me. Perhaps being summer items avon aren't keeping any in stock due to the weather lol

Well done to your DH being Bronze PC :T Really surprised he's having the same or even worse stock problems than you though. In a book I have it refers to Avon's stocking process and how it's really finely timed i.e. they schedule their goods to arrive to them only hours before they change over from one campaign to another. No idea if that's still applicable but if so the earlier Mail Plans could be shorted not because of items being sold out but because they haven't actually arrived into Avon.... Food for thought....
