Congrats, lozza! :j Really pleased for you. Enjoy every moment. _party_
Yes, I found C8 a good one too - all those great ANew offers. :T Looks like C9 should be quite good too.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Oh, BTW, anyone else tried the trainers yet? I think they're fab. Half sizes would be helpful but so far it seems they're quite a generous fit so opt for the size smaller if in doubt.
Am loving the 'beach to bar' dress too and off on my hols next week so deffo giving that a road test!

It's weird, usually even when there's anew offers my customers don't buy it - this time loads of them have! They must all be getting worried about wrinklesAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Yes I sold four lots this time and have them out again so hopefully it will be as popular this time as well. I'm not keen on the c10 brochure it just doesn't seem flickable IYKWIM. Maybe it being more of a page turner will be popular who knows so long as the orders keep flowing.0

Think people generally are more conscious about looking after their skin now (or maybe all the skincare samples I've been giving out are working.... :rotfl:) and, of course, the A-F33 TV adverts will have raised awareness. Maybe people are worried about skin cancer too so the Day Cream with SPF protection is always the first one I suggest. (Did have one customer - unfortunately moved away now - who reckoned he'd been into Boots but they reckoned they didn't have any face creams with an SPF factor. Doh! Deffo worth genning up on your products - the 'Beauty of Knowledge' courses on all reps' websites are great for that.)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Will reserve judgment about the landscape format - my initial thought is that it won't be as durable but time will tell. Some of the photo's seem to look better in that format though so.... fingers crossed, as you say, it helps order levels.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Congratulations on your baby news lozza, how exciting!!
I would be really interested in hearing about how you and your husband work Avon together as that was my plan to get dh involved and help out as I have quite a lot on my plate with the kids and working already! However he has not been quite as helpful as he first promised and I also think maybe people just want to see the same face all the time and maybe the ladies prefer dealing with me??
Anyway just got back from delivering some brochures, I asked for some new streets as I think every three weeks to my neighbours might be a bit too often so thought I could make the brochures work harder with extra houses - does anyone else do this?
Waiting for c8 order on Tuesday and very chuffed that I reached hov :j
Hoping for similar success this time as I would really like to make a success of this.0 -
Funnily enough I think our customers quite like having a young man delivering their order - so many off them tell me how lovely he is...not sure whether to get worried lol.
We've split it from the beginning - I nearly always sort the delivery (he doesn't repackage it how I like lol), and I always pack the orders - the one time he did it he had bits left over and I had to go through and redo quite a few of them - all the make up looks the same to him. Deliveries we tend to do together - or if I'm on my late shift he has to do them by himselfbooks he tends to collect in as usually falls for his mid-week days off so he picks them up while I'm at work. I sort out checking & entering the orders which I do while he's at work and I can watch what I want on tv. Packing books I tend to do, though these last few campaigns he's packed half to give me a hand.
I think really I'm quite lucky in that he isn't the sort of bloke to sit there and watch me do things - mind you I'm not the sort of person who would let him either lol. Probably for most blokes it's feeling a bit out of their depth - sometimes customers ask Dh about products and he always has to say he'll ask me as he doesn't know much about the products, especially the make-up.
On the note that goes in with our books it's always said Richard & Laura's avon - so customers are prepared for the fact that there's the two of us. Certainly for certain customers (mainly a old lady who is pretty much deaf) when it's going to be Richard delivering I let them
Know, especially in the winter, as otherwise they might not open the door to a 6 foot 5 man lurking at their door lol.
Perhaps see if there's certain things your husband would be happy doing - perhaps he'd be happy to deliver books just not the orders?Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

I'd always keep dropping brochures every 3 weeks unless people ask you not to. Out of 170 customers I've only had a few (literally about 3) ask if I can hold off for a few months because they're stocked up. One customer said last week that the brochures come around quickly, but she still places an order most campaigns so I don't think she meant it in a "it's annoying" kind of way.
My area is now about 850 houses - I just asked for more every time I felt like I could expand. Reps with large areas will have done this because you wouldn't be given that many to start off with.
As my area got bigger I decided to buy more brochures so they work much less harder than they used to! It's just easier to visit a street once for dropping books, once for collection etc... when the area isn't quite on your doorstep. It also means I don't run the risk of running out. If a book has to be used 3 or 4 times or even more to reach everyone there's always the chance too many will go unreturned or get waterlogged/scruffy.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Thanks Lozza, that's kind of how it works with dh, I am too much of a control freak to let him place an order or pack them for the customer so I was hoping for some help with the 'donkey work' of distributing and collecting brochures - especially in the rain!! Luckily ds is quite helpful as wel and he comes out with me to post them:D
I,Geek I have just had another 3 or 4 roads added to my area which is great as I am getting more people in my first area say no, I would rather cover a larger area but only to the people that want them so hopefully I can work a larger area harder.
Can anyone help me with the sale brochure? I notice a link to it and I had 1 free with my last order but I couldn't see anywhere that I could order them with the brochures, have I looked in the wrong place? Do you just put them in with the normal brochure and deliver to customers or do it separately?
I suppose I could just post a link on my fb page for the moment as I suppose it's too late to order them now. How often do they come out?
Thanks so much x0
