Does anyone have a Glow Dust - Arabian Glow (07815) in their stock, that they would prepared to sell & post. Just found a customer order in an book - they hadn't filled in the name/address bit so I hadn't spotted it when going through. Have just managed to figure out who it is by matching signatures from previous orders.

I could pay by paypal if that was ok.

Please message me if anyone can help - thanks!

I've just found out that one of the roads I've been given by my SL is actually someone elses area that they have been doing for a year! I had four orders from this area in my last campaign and my SL didn't catch me in time befor eI put out 40 brochures for Campaign 15, so I now have to go round and get all my books back and potentially lose my existing customers.

I'm really upset, I've worked so hard to get this far and its now all for nothing, she's now offered me another road in a really rough area and was surprised when I refused it! I'm seriously thinking of calling the ASM tomorrow and requesting a change of SL, I don't want to leave but I'm not impressed by her so far.

Sorry for the rant but I'm really disappointed. :(

Keep those customers you have got, they've ordered from you so the other rep obviously isn't delivering to them.

Just a note - it's more likely your ASMs fault rather than your sl - as sl we can only get territory in 2 ways, one when your a brand new rep, inputting your details and it gives us streets that are showing as vacant. Or we can ask the ASM for roads. We don't known who does what in an area, unless they are one of our own reps - if they are another sl, or the asms rep, we don't know what they cover - only the ASM knows that. The trouble with the territory system is that if it's kept up to date, then it works brilliantly - but if it isn't, streets show as vacant, when they aren't. Hope you manage to get something sorted x
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

It's up to you what you do with the customers you've picked up in another rep's allocated street.

If the customers accidentally placed an order with you I'd give them back to the other rep, explaining there had been a mix-up (if you ended up delivering orders to these customers).

If the customers have never ordered from the other rep, and you've effectively done the other rep's re-canvas for them, maybe you and the other rep can decide between yourselves what should be done with them. For example, some reps cherry-pick their streets and have no intention of re-canvassing and are happy with their customer base as it is, and may be okay with you having the ones you picked up. If you're able to speak to the other rep and you find out they have no plans of re-canvassing, it would be worth asking the ASM whether you can have the street allocated. We're given streets so we can canvas and re-canvas them, and if a rep isn't going to do that the street may as well be given to someone who will - who works around the other rep's customers.

How did you find out another rep covers the street? If it was a householder take the info with a pinch of salt - I was told another rep covered the area and had done for years and I wouldn't find any customers. In truth the street was allocated to me and the other rep had cherry-picked long ago.

If it was another rep who told you this - did they say the street was allocated to them? Some reps think they can lay claim to streets just by going there and canvassing - without it being allocated to them on SMA. If the other rep has done this, and the street is allocated to you, you're still within your rights to canvas it and work around their customers.

Your SL is at the mercy of the ASM and other SLs when they look to get accurate info from SMA. In theory they should be able to find a free street - and it actually will be free with no rep actively working it (i.e. re-canvassing for new customers). In truth some SLs and even the ASM sometimes don't save streets properly (there seems to be 2 stages to allocating - reserving and then saving). My first lot weren't saved and I only found out a few months later. They're also at the mercy of reps doing what they like - so a street labelled free isn't always so.

Unfortunately I don't know whether there's much you can do to change upline. A SL will be able to advise about your options there.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Hi i am looking at the baskets in HT 17 and wondering if i buy one of each and do a raffle - maybe £1 a ticket and 1st, 2nd, 3rd prize is this allowed or do i need some kind of licence for doing a raffle. I generally do a prize draw each campaign and enter everyone who places an order but this is slightly different as they have to actually buy a ticket.

I would be inclined to say it was private as it is only offered to your customers ;) ie a defined group. If you stick to that, I would think it will be ok. (just personal opinion though!)

Has anyone seen You magazine and the Avon article? It's about the Believe world tour in Birmingham.
Very positive article I thought, although concentrates on the millions of pounds to be made!!
