Tax return deadlines - paper returns have to be in by 31st October, and online ones by 31st Jan 2012.

If you're doing one online (which we can all do if we want, as far as I know) the very first time you log in you need to apply for a user ID and password, which take about a week to arrive - so factor that time in.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Hi, just a query if someone knows the answer please! Got a customer who has ordered some of the new Barbie products, however I have noticed I am not earning any commission on the three items she has bought. Does anyone know why? Thank you. :)

Is it online that it's showing as no earnings? Or your paper invoice?

Been taking out my first orders over the week and had one customer who wanted to pay by cheque, whats peoples experience with cheques and what advice? I have taken the cheque but not given them the products until it clears

Also can anyone give me advice on the money making offers? Looking at the perfume one in HT17 is it worthwhile getting some?

IWouldn't worry then it's probably just a fault on the website. When you get your paper invoice it will be right. Off the top of my head I think they might be fixed discount items, but you'll still earn something on them. The only brochure products we don't earn on are the charity ones.

I refuse cheques apart from family cheques - I like to have the cash so I know where I am. Definitely don't hand over goods till cheque had cleared. I have some customers put cash in with their brochure so that when I deliver I can just put thru letter box (some of them work late/away a lot) they originally offered cheques but I said no. Just make sure you keep a note of who has paid by cheque so you know where you are, could get confusing if a few people pay by cheque.

My customers are also my immediate neighbours on a park home site & I've been taking cheques for many years. BUT I know them well and we all know each other. I've never had a problem. But I'd be wary with relative strangers and as Lozza said get the cheque cleared first unless you can 100% trust them.
