yes good point IG
I have added links for brochures 3 & 4 to the first post of this threadAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Just to avoid any confusion I'd check that this territory is now assigned to you on the system. If it has that's great - you just hear of people taking over someone else's round as an informal arrangement, and then those streets get given to someone else.
Thanks for that ! I will be sure to check again. I would be soooo annoyed if that happened.Avon Rep since 30 November 2012.

Welcome 'aboard' SPN; hope you enjoy your own Avon business.
Sorry to be nosey but a bit puzzled by your comments: 'had books delivered' and 'emailed with (your) a/c no.' - did someone actually come out to visit you/talk you through everything, check ID etc. and actually appoint you face to face?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hey, no worries. Apologies, by delivered, I mean a sales leader came to see me. I use my phone for internet access, so i say what i need to say in the shortest way if im in a rush. The sales leader had forgotten to make a note of my account number hence the email from Avon.
im excited that the checks have been done, i do need to find out my initial credit limit however, which ill do tomorrow.
My sales leader was more interested in getting me started as quickly as she could without actually showing me or telling me anything. she was done in about 2 minutes flat. No offer of further help / assistace if required. Good job, ive learnt it all from my sister ! Bit of a false economy considering they earn off their reps orders! Im seriously considering sales leadership, i wont ever let anyone say the same about me as i believe strongly in training and development from previous jobs ive had.Avon Rep since 30 November 2012.

And of course if your sister doesn't know the answer you can always ask on here
yes some sales leader & asms (area managers) can have a tendency to do the absolute minimum which as you say is a false economy. How many books have they left you with? As it sounds like they aren't coming to see you for a second visit? You should receive 40 brochures in total as a minimum, 20 for your first campaign & 20 for your second campaign - if they're only seeing you the once then you should have been left with all 40Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Well, I got my 20 books for my first campaign plus 80 books that my sis gave me, seems she's packed it in. I'll be asking for 20 books for my second campaign, because I should have them. Im ordering at least another 40 because my territory is 300 houses and i know when the round was my sisters she had 60 regular customers / order something sometimes. I'll be giving books to everyone who hasn't said no / refuse to put books out for collection / won't answer the door / etc which is about 200 I can serve. I put my first 100 books out on Saturday, can't wait to pick them up on Tuesday. i used to get really excited helping my sis, as we worked hard to establish a regular customer base and feel really lucky that I was able to have it seems she decided to finish due to domestic commitments.Avon Rep since 30 November 2012.

Hmmm.... As I thought..... A few pointers:
* You have a 14 day cooling off period from when you were actually appointed to choose a good, supportive upliner. Use it to find a good one. (Get yr books out/in and see what orders you get but in your position I would feel no loyalty to someone doing a sign-up like that. ) Sorry my pet hate!
* Avon changed the sign-up/appointment packs and have even got online video training guides as they are doing their best to weed out the 'pop in/out.... here's yr books/get on with it' type of upliners.
* A rep's initial appointment visit should take a minimum of 45 mins! (I'm at the other end of the scale - have been known to be there for 2-3 hrs! At the rep's request might I add!!)
What part of the country are you in? Have you tried Avon Connects to find a good upliner? (Deffo would NOT stick with the one you have at the mo.... sorry, my personal opinion/advice.... a good upliner can make all the difference to your own Avon business.)
Good luck - whatever you decide.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Just a pointer to any 'recent ex-reps' watching in..... When a rep misses ordering for several campaigns they are charged the set-up fee again if they do decide to order and resurrect their Avon business - even if only for their own use.
Avon are keen to attract 'recent ex-reps' back so have waived the set-up fee for certain reps (who last ordered within the last 8 campaigns/4-5 months) if they place a C1 order. Such reps can click into £60+ worth of make-up for £12 or even better deals if you contact your upliner for help. (Or repost/PM me and I'll help.)

thanks for taking the time to provide that info. I will certainly give it some thought re changing my leader. Would I have to cancel and start again? Its just that I read that you can't change.
Im in the North East (East Yorkshire), a small Town called Hessle. I love my territory as I adopted it from my sister who gave it up just as I signed up. I helped her establish a customer base, so the customers know me.
Wow, re your mammouth signups. That's exactly what I would be like because it benefits everyone. I hate poor service, so I wouldn't ever give poor service.
Many thanks again.Avon Rep since 30 November 2012.

Yr very welcome; well done finding this thread because it's been of more use to me (and others) than Avon Connects and we started here before they did too!
No, you don't have to 'cancel' as such - the 14 day cooling off period (some upliners don't even mention it! ) is to cover people for if they change their mind in general and decide not to proceed as a rep. Just find another upliner pdq and get them to sign you up too. That will give you two a/c nos on the system - just make sure you use the correct one for the upliner you prefer! The other a/c will just 'fall away' when it is not used.
Just a thought, was it your ASM/Area Sales Manager, who signed you up? If so, no different but worth checking particularly if you are looking at going into SLship as a good relationship with your ASM is paramount. If you are 'tagged' direct to your ASM then deffo needs more thought....
(PM me your postcode and I'll let you know who you're ASM is.)
As for my sign-ups, am on the edge of Dartmoor - everywhere to me now is a 2 hr round trip so I pack as much in as I can with my additional hints/tips etc. but do stop when their eyes start to glaze over! :rotfl: Avon's new suggested appointing/training process is two visits (45/50 mins each) prior to the rep placing their first order - I just do both in one visit!
Irrespective of what you decide, you are entitled to keep your current customers as F&F/Friends and Family - don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
