FLP = Forever Living Products. A new MLM company which sells pricey Aloe Vera- based products. When I say 'new', its been going 15+ years in the Uk and 30/35 (maybe) in the US. But since Avon's been around 125+ years now, that's new.0

Ah yes, I've heard of them, just had a "blonde" moment and for the life of me couldn't work out what FLP stood for lol. I think the best thing with Avon is, it's a household name - there's adverts on the tv, we have celebrities in the magazines etc, which helps to show people that it's a good company with good productsAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

The Party Glamour Set is a nice little 'earner' - add an extra one to your order because if you qualify Avon will send it, if not they won't. Also worth adding a few low cost items e.g. roll-on deo's @ £1.25 to see if the extra free PGS clicks in. When your customer orders are combined you may just be a couple of £s short to get a free PGS for yourself.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon

Know it's a tad early but am putting my Christmas cards in with deliveries this week plus a note on my books that this is the LAST AVON SHOPPING DAY TILL CHRISTMAS. :xmassign: :xmastree: Pretty sure some of my customers will groan but hopefully the card will help get their attention! :rotfl:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon

but made a guess it was another subscriber!:rotfl:
As you say, Avon is a brand name and that has value..... we get to click into that at minimal cost so it's an absolute no-brainer to me. Did everyone take advantage of the full face make-up set in HT2? High Street price £130+, Avon price £60+, rep price £12:eek: (and with a 90 day no quibble money-back guarantee too)..... unbelievable!! :j Don't forget you can back-order Demo products too.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Nicki - when you say you'd missed the return date do you mean you'd already put the credits in and had to get them back within 36 days?
*SNIP* It depends if it's just a blip or whether it's always the same customers who mess you about.
Yes - returns can go back with the courier when they call with an additional.
I missed the cut off for returning them, no idea how but when I searched for the code/item name it kept saying "Product not found" and when I checked the invoices available I'd missed out by 1 campaign. No idea how I managed that but I did, I know better now and write the campaign on a post it and attach it to the order if I'm having problems delivering it. Also every time they ask me to redeliver I write the new day on the bag there and then in front of them if I can
My problem is that a lot of my customers seem to be on benefits so they think they'll have the money then they have a bill come in which they haven't budgeted for so then can't pay me or vice versa.
I have an ex-rep who is a fairly new customer and its part of her C16 order thats still here (while my C18 delivery has just arrived) and now her C17 order is waiting as well. Every time I take her an order she picks through it and send me home with some. This C16 is apparently her daughters not hers and so she hasn't got the money to pay for it.I put cards through today/night saying I'll be delivering tomorrow night so I'll put one through hers to remind her and include in the notes section "If this order is not paid/delivered by the 5th December I will unfortunately have to return it" I only have one other delivery not made now, and thats an elderly couple where he isn't in the best health and is in and out of hospital a lot so I don't mind holding on to theirs until I have to put my C2 order in on the 20th Dec.
I don't set a deadline as such, more judge it on the customer, size of the order, and what their reason is for delaying delivery. *SNIP*
Thats what I've been trying to do, I don't mind small orders <£10 hanging around for a couple of campaigns, but the ones I have at the moment come to over £50 for one customer  I think I'm too soft with them so I'll have to toughen up next year. I'll allow some flexibility in the run up to Christmas but New Year, new start and all thatEspecially when I finally get my accounts into the software over Xmas and discover how much money I'm supposed to have
Its all on paper ATM and its easy to loose track, especially when DD decides to help tidy up and just shoves things in a pile in the cupboard or a piece of paper will get caught up in her homework and ends up in her room
As for keeping the money straight, I do my best not to use my money for anything other than work, but what I have done is my work account is with the same bank as my personal accounts and I use online banking. Each Mon when I start my new financial week, if I have the cash available in my "petty-cash" I will take that weeks housekeeping from that, but I immediately transfer the equivalent amount from my personal to my work account. I also regularly change out my housekeeping to keep the change in my "petty-cash" topped up. I go to the bank once a campaign (usually a couple of days before my next order is due) and pay all the full bags of coins in, and any large denomination notes. I try to keep £50 worth of £5 notes and £40 worth of £1 and less. Sounds like a lot of money, but when I have 30 customers all spending odd amounts, then the change doesn't go that far. I actually buy small resealable bags, and make change bags for each customer up to the nearest £5. So for example if "12 Any street" spends £6.49, I'll get a post it and write "12 Any Street, Change of £10" on it and stick it inside one of the little bags, and then put £3.51 change in it, seal it up and put it in the box with the order (I sort my orders into boxes by street). It saves so much messing around standing on the step and my regular customers now know that I have that change so often just give me £10, £15, £20 etcIt means that on a good night I can make 20+ deliveries in under 2 hours even though we're on foot, which in the cold/wet/hail/snow/ice is worth the extra work at home in the warm
:rotfl: It also means that if I can't make a delivery for some reason I can just put that change bag in the box with the order and I don't need to worry about finding it again if I pay money into the bank
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I wonder if anyone could help please. I have requested a credit from Avon for an item which a customer decided against. I now have another customer request the item. Can I cancel the credit at all and keep the ? (as it was cheaper when ordered first time than if I was to order it now).
Many thanks0 -

If you log into your account, then at the "contact us" bit at the bottom, click on that, then send them an email using that form (saves ringing up!). Explain that you submitted x product with x code for return on x date, but that you would like to cancel this credit as you won't be returning this item.
Alternatively, if you don't send the product back, you'll automatically get recharged after 36 days anyway so if you're prepared for this then that way will work fine too.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Sounds like a good system Nicki with your change
Ouch, yes I certainly wouldn't hang onto such large orders for so long, but I wouldn't give them other brochures until they'd either paid for their order, or said I could send the remaining bits back, otherwise you'll just keep end up with a larger and larger order for them that you might not be able to deliver. As you say - new year and new start, if they realise you won't hang onto things for so long, I'd imagine some of them will magically find the money, or won't order more than they know they can afford.

I will only hold onto orders until my next order goes in. TBH, I have slightly older reasonably well off customers in the main. Although last night I had one that didn't have just over £5. Reminds me of me a few years ago when I had to raid the kids piggy banks to pay avon!
Doing the wall planners with C1 brochures, all being well received. Plan to drop cards round after C1 delivery arrives on the 10/12. I had a re-think and my besties who will be on current brochure shall have C2 with delivery between Christmas and New Year. This is a first for me but many of my customers are singletons or couples so Christmas isn't quite the same as when with the family.
Only downside is that my printer has broken and am unable to do newsletters, grrrr!
Edit: I carry 10 of every size coin, couple of fivers and perhaps a few more pound coins if I have. Keep my float in my avon purse always, works for me.Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
