Have been in touch with Avon about this who said they would credit me the difference and have since emailed me to say they wouldn't! Reason being, there were 3 other items ordered by other customers as part of the offer and Avon have 'randomly' picked 5 of them to allocate the price of 5 for £5 and then 'randomly' picked others for the lesser discounts.
I would imagine for anyone who keeps a close eye on their invoices this particular offer could prove interesting. Unless people enter individual customers orders onto the website rather that one big order under their own name (as I do), this kind of offer seems unneccessarily complicated.
Maybe this happens a lot & I've only just noticed it. I'm a bit cynical with Avon as all of their 'errors' tend to favour their profits.
Thanks for flagging potential problem areas (all good useful information) :T
Another one is when the offer is 'Buy One Get One Half Price/For £2'. Reps need to be careful that they are not out of pocket by the way Avon invoice goods as it may be different to what your customer is expecting/entitled to pay.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Not sure how to write this down as it sounds a bit confusing!
I'm placing an order for C14 - can order from HT15 or HT16. If I ordered an item from HT15 last time, can I order the same item again in this order?
Thanks
Not complicated at all :rotfl:- answer is Yes! LOL
You can back-order Demo products but not clearance from HT (well, you can order them but won't receive them).Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Is there a limit as to how much I can return in one go? I've had a number of customers cancel their orders the past few weeks after changing their minds or because they haven't got the money. I have loads of 1 litre & 500ml bubblebaths to return, and I've got loads of expensive stuff (perfumes etc) to return  ATM it's working out at 3 or 4 boxes of stuff due to the weight limit, and probably close on £200+ worth of returns
Thats after I sent £75 worth back when I got my delivery!
I would keep hold of the bubblebaths, but the amount of "stock" I have is taking over the livingroom and I would like to be able to eat at my diningtable again
Have never come across a limit as such.... Once Avon refused to credit a member of my team for returning £150+ until they posted a copy of the returns note but whether that's their policy or they were just being awkward, I really don't know.
Quite often my team members leave their boxes to return with me i.e. if they're on holiday etc. and the carrier's never refused to take the quantity of boxes I had to return.
Know what you mean about stock mounting up (pretty sure we all do!) I've bought plastic stacking boxes now so I can see what 'bargains' I've got on hand. Luckily I have a spare bedroom although it's more like my Avon stock room now. :rotfl:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Thanks Miss Minx, I don't have a problem with the recruiting side of things, (at the moment fingers toes and everything else crossed) I am hoping that Ive hit targets in this campaign so should get bonus for hitting SL and getting 6 LOA1's since I've started which will more than the cover the costs of the books and the petrol used so far.
I really hope I've hit it this time as it's the third campaign as TSL.
Just wondered if there were any clever strategies that I hadn't thought of to get it paying a little quicker or if it is better to build on your territory for the quicker money while starting out with team building?'s
How have others gone about getting their SL status built.
If I make it this time I'll be back on here for a :D
Haven't seen the thread on AC mentioned by MM (but will do shortly :T) and can't say I know of any 'tricks' to build your team more quickly but:
* You might look at your customer base to see if you have any potential reps there?
* The 'power of 3' I gather works i.e. speak to 3 people every day about Avon and they reckons for every 10 people you speak to you'll find at least one new rep
* From C14 to C1 they've increased the BDBs/Business Development Bonuses so well worth trying to get to the next level(s) and maintaining them by C1
* Once you have 15+ reps on your immediate downline, look for potential SLs on your team and then pass your leads to your TSLs to get them qualified.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head - think I should go to AC and find that thread. :rotfl:
Good luck.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

It's really nice to see new reps on here, I hope I am able to help in the same way that others have helped me.
Well I have downsized my territory, I have kept the road with the most customers and said to the customers on other roads that they can give me a call if they get stuck for a rep, which most of them have said they would do.
Yes, I think it's great to see a few new names too.
Glad you decided to continue; can never see the point of closing your Avon a/c once you've paid your set-up fee. My guess is that your customers may welcome 'the pressure' being off too i.e. sometimes they do feel almost obliged to support you. Much easier for them to give you one big order when they actually want something than for you to be traipsing all over with tiny orders every campaign.
Good look with everything going forward.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

HI Marsden, I do agree with you re the Sales Leader having a flaming damned cheek and issuing targets!! She has someone there who wants to be a Sales Leader, I'd love to have someone like that in my team.
I certainly wouldn't be asking them to do my job for me, if I thought the representative was able to recruit I'd be signing them up for Sales Leadership. OK I'm very new to this but I just wouldn't dream of doing that.0 -
I should be up to 15 by the end of Campaign 15 with any luck and a lot of effort! I seem to have developed an Avon Brain if there is such a thing, when I see a baby in a buggy, I no longer think "how lovely", I think "How lovely the mother could be an Avon Lady of the future" and pounce! I could have 15 this time but that would mean very few not putting orders in which doesn't seem to be the case. I'll keep ploughing on.
Thanks for the advice Marsden0 -

Good for you; sounds to me like you've got a good ethos there. I wouldn't have qualified if it hadn't been for my own upliner so I do the same for my TSLs too. (Actually I do the same for my SL's TSLs when they can't support them for one reason or another.) So far it works.... time will tell.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Well done! Know what you mean about 'buggy-bashing' - I was told they were 'easy targets' because not only were they at home with a little one so, possibly, wanting to earn a bit of extra dosh but also - with a buggy - they couldn't run away from you! :rotfl:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Am I right in thinking that SL can order brochures cheaper? I have no idea where I got the idea from but it wont leave my head!
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0
