And about returns - I have the link to the returns form for Avon. If someone orders something and I take it to their house, then they turn round and say they no longer want it, can I still return it? Will I have to pay Avon out of my own pocket? Yes, you can return it, even if they've opened it and tried it! You can pay avon for it and be credited on your next invoice or do a returns and knock it off the current invoice.

I read somewhere on this thread that someone was having problems with returning items to Avon and not getting the amount knocked off their 'credit allowance'. I read that they used a courier. I'd personally prefer to use my local Post Office, is this possible? How do I prove that the Post Office has received it off me? And will I need to pay anything or would there be a 'pre-paid' label I could use? I have only ever used the courier as I think you have to pay for Royal Mail and they wont take aerosols. The courier will deliver every 3 weeks, just make sure your returns are ready to go and its dead easy.

Thought I may as well answer the last 2 questions!

How many houses to start with? - 120 sounds manageable, even alongside a full-time job. I'll second what others have said about giving these a go first before asking for more. Since being efficient with your time is going to be a priority, you may end up choosing to buy more brochures. I'm the same (don't have a full-time job but still prefer to have Avon take up as little time as possible). Having to buy more brochures isn't a major expense and it's well worth it if you can't/just don't want to be getting many uses out of each brochure. Your first 15 copies will cost £4.86, and every 10 brochures after that will cost £1, so it's not expensive to be buying larger quantities.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
  • I remember reading something on here about creating a facebook page and not being able to use the word Avon in it, but I can't find it now!

You can't have the word avon in the URL, but you can have it in the name, a full explantation is in my guide, the link is below, there is also a link to it from the first post on this thread in case you need to look back at it anytime:

Ah I see, thank you - I now have my very own Hello Tomorrow magazine! Yahay! Those links to the different catalogues will be very useful for giving to my family rather than giving them books (as sometimes I can't get to see them in person).

    Thank you!

My sales leader came round today and introduced me to all that is Avon - I was surprised to find out the origin of the company of Avon, too! She's a really helpful sales leader and I can't wait to start selling Avon. She's coming again next week with my second lot of books, and then she'll also explain how to do orders on the Avon site. Let's hope I have a few orders to be able to put in! She'll also confirm which area I'll have to cover, so I'm looking forward to finding that out!

    Hi
    just quick question.
has anybody whos a sales leader tryied getting customer list first by doing the territory then recruit with an up to date customer list.
due to weather people i am signing up they are not doing territory so i have decided to be like a floating rep on territory thats free then get customer list and include a slip in third campaign. asking for a customer to take over round as customers waiting. I was just wondering if anyone has tryied this approach

  • Hello again,

I'm planning out when I'll order from Avon and pay Avon. If I order on the 6th March and my order is delivered on the 13th March, what would the invoice date be? In other words, how long would I have from then to pay Avon, please?

I've read the info about '13 days from invoice date' but I'm just a little confused as to when that invoice date would be (date of ordering, date of dispatch, date of delivery, etc?)

    Thanks for help!

Basically so long as you clear your bill before your next order is due in its fine - so two weeks from when you get your delivery, which is loads of time to get everything delivered :)

If you have managers willing to let you 'babysit' territory then that's a great way to recruit as they get a ready made customer list as you say, but I've found very few managers near me that like doing that.
