Input to help new reps...
ok so far we have:
* giving out handouts with useful info on
* extra books & bags & useful notes to use with them
* calling cards
* contact from upline - email / quick text to keep in touch.
* emails with ideas to help with sales & to make people feel part of a team
* make sure reps know it's no bother to help them, even with minor queries, that's what we're there for!
mixed views on "league tables" - I know my asm does them for our area, she does a top 50 for that campaign, a top 50 year to date on sales, and also does a welcome to all new reps that have joined that campaign. I have to say, I never feature in the top 50 lol, but my hubby does (as he gets most of our sales on his account!) and it's interesting to see, but yes it's usually the same few in the top 10 slots. I started doing them for my team last year as I thought it would be interesting for my team to see how they do compared to a smaller group of people, though I haven't since about campaign 1 as with the short campaigns so many people didn't order / placed small orders it seemed silly to do a league table. That and I didn't have time. I didn't put full names, nor how much anyone had sold, just a top 10. Though admittedly my team is only 10 members now inc my husband lol so everyone is guaranteed a spot at the moment
Any other ideas/input?
I know when I first started my main gripes were getting in touch with my asm and then never hearing anything back even when it was important things. I certainly make sure my team can contact me and I sort things as soon as possible as I know how irritating it is waiting round for a reply :rotfl:
Anyone else Think of anything? Doesn't need to just be new reps - just think what you wish you'd been told/helped with when you were first starting as a repAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Well done, Lozza :T
Might regular local meetings be of interest to newbies (with or without the ASM)? I've tried it a few times but got to admit, not been the biggest success so far..... Sure am missing something.
Also, wonder if a 'joint party' for charity may be worth thinking about? Holding your own party can be a bit daunting but participating with someone else's could be useful maybe?
Communication is deffo the key though - I hate being treated like a mushroom; much rather have bad news than no news at all.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Joint party for charity - or just a joint party? It depends on who's pairing/tripling up to do the party, but some will want to keep all their profit.
Things to tell new reps - registering as self-employed pops up a lot on Connects, but there's also the need to tell every benefits/tax credit office you're dealing with, too.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

A customer has just returned a product that she bought in C17 (delivered to her on 18th Nov). It's the arabian glow bronzing pearls & the compact is cracked on hinge.
Been online to list as replacement, but I'm only showing C2 & C3 available for replacements - C1,2,3 for credits.
It's well within the 90 days, so what should I do?
Haven't had this before.
ThanksNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -

On the credits page use the search box (green "go" button next to it). I pick a keyword from the product name - in this case "arabian" would do - and it'll bring up all products with that word in the name. This is how I do all returns, even if the invoice is showing on the credits page.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. Hi - this is a really great thread! I've just signed up with Avon and been allocated my territory but most of it is flats (I live in a very flat heavy area) - How do you deal with flats which have shared front doors or you don't have access to individual mailboxes? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks I,Geek. I managed to find it under credits, but not under replacements. It's cheaper in this catalogue, so am going to return & repurchase.
Will use that method in future, as can see how it would come in usefulNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -
Hi there, just started back on my rounds after having my little boy 3 weeks ago!
Already I am annoyed. Ordered camp4 books through my ASM before christmas, ordered some camp 5 books last camp and they sent me camp4 again! So I called them up and they said yep we can do an exchange. They arrived yesterday, I didn't even hear a knock at the door and the box had been hurled over the backgate and landed in the snow so the books were soaking wet! I called my ASM and left her a message, she called back saying she would bring me some new books over today but couldn't give me a time so I have stayed in ALL DAY and she hasn't come!
Great start back eh? really keeping my faith in Avon here and if it wasn't for my lovely customers I would jack it in cos I have had enough of them messing up all the time (granted it wasn't Avons fault the delivery driver threw the box over the fence!)Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -

Right I have done it, I have completed the form to re-sign up as a rep again and the sales leader is coming to see me on Sunday to get me all signed up.
I am getting quite excited about doing it again, love going and collecting the books to see what orders you have got. But I am quite a shy person, so I am not looking forward to dropping all the books off etc. I might have to do it one night when it is dark for the first drop lol!!Mortgage overpayments 2014 £175
