symbol anywhere for the touchpad 16 or 32gb models.
I cannot believe that ordering it online is any different to ordering it inhouse, but I will go into town this lunchtime to find out.

I think its to do where you buy it, paying on line could be different to paying in the shop.0 -
Anyone trying to ask me for the 'price match evidence' pdf, sorry but I can't reply to your messages because of the site's anti-spam system. I've put a few of them into a zip, and uploaded it here (and at this point it won't let me post links either):

Yes it is - you can't get Super Saver on Marketplace sellers.
Actually, Amazon do have a program where a marketplace seller can send the items for sale to the amazon warehouse and amazon will take care of the delivery (of course, the seller has to pay for this). In this way, a marketplace seller can offer super saver delivery. That said, this order does clearly say from Amazon EU S.a.r.L, which means that it is coming direct from amazon.waspsforever wrote: »I think its to do where you buy it, paying on line could be different to paying in the shop.
If you buy online and have it delivered, you're protected by distance selling regulations. If you pick it up in person, you're not.0 -
Here's an interesting TouchPad story.
I reserved 2 TouchPads online with Comet yesterday around noon. One was 16GB, the other 32GB. One was for me, the other for my girlfriend.
I turned up at the Dundee Comet store (Longtown Road) just after 9am this morning to be told that I couldn't get the 16GB version, but I could get the 32GB version.
The reason given was that the 16GB TouchPad was a display copy which had been reserved incorrectly by their computer system (it allegedly belonged to HP and was therefore not for sale).
Now - either there's some dodgy sales manoueverings going on, or there's something far wrong with the Comet computer system: If I order a "Click and Collect item", I expect a (brand new boxed) item to be reserved for me - as the confirmation email I received stated. And I don't expect to be given an ex-display copy - just how could that have been reserved by mistake exactly? Or has someone else just walked away with my 16GB TouchPad?
I wasn't very happy - I feel let down by Comet.
This is now a big problem for me. Do I selfishly hold on to the 32GB version or do I give it to my girlfriend as a present and do without? I think I know what to do...
I'm hoping a Comet representative reading this forum will come to my aid (all I want is the £89 TouchPad I ordered) - I'm sure the thousands of MoneySavingExpert readers will be interested in finding out just how good or bad the Comet sales teams really are. And hopefully Comet can help to restore some confidence in their "Click and Collect" system - otherwise I won't ever be using it (or Comet) ever again.
If a Comet rep could contact me by email at: martin at fourfiveone dot info I would be very grateful. And I will post the outcome in this forum for the thousands of MoneySavingExpert readers to see.0 -
Please do let me know once you receive confirmation -- just want to be sure this is legit!0

I picked up my reserved (at full price) 32GB last night, I paid 115, when I got it home and fired it up, it was a 16GB one. I went back this morning to get a refund of £26 but they instead gave me a 32GB one and took back my opened 16GB one. They would not let me buy it and said it was reserved for another customer.
The girl on the till was just about to sell it to me but the manager stepped in...0 -

thanx guys,
one more stupid question due to never ever before used amazon:
the "Not in stock; order now and we'll deliver when available"
how long usually takes amazon to delivery a not in stock item?weeks ,months? is there a prefix time that they must adhere? thanx again.0
