People would actually pay £300 for this?
I would just throw in the extra £100 and purchase an ipad.0 -

anyone contacted play.com to check their policy regarding buying now and the price reducing later (if it reduces that is)?
Thanks

Sorry - wasn't meaning to make it sound like I was gloating - just trying to point out that there was some available if people keep looking.0

Fair enough, there *are* people out there selling them for double or triple the cost right now though
noone will buy at double cost until all the stock has run out everywhere and even then bargin fever will wear off. I'm trying to get 4 myself, one for me, family members and a neice in case she's done well in her GCSE's!
How many do I actually have....... 2 at full price from Argos that may have to go back! That's even worse than not having one, having one nice and shiny new in a box that I simply cannot open!0 -
I'
ve got a 2500 thousand word essay to write I wish companies who have them in stock would reduce the price.. though its annoying my hubby works for HP and he cannt get one0 -
I managed to grab one at the little CPW in Croydon Whitgift Centre. The smaller stores may still have stock, and are worth checking. The staff didn't know about the reduction, and were a little surprised but very helpful.0

Just a couple of quick points - the International Business Times says that HP have more stock coming because it was already produced and paid for when they killed the product. Likely to be sold on HP's own site so keep an eye out.
Also the Pre 3 smart phone is likely to drop from £299 to £60 or so in the next couple of days (based on what they did in germany) - yes it will not be particularly well supported but for £60 will make a hell of a feature phone!0 -

Is it not a case with Argos that you do not buy on line, as you do with some retailers, but only reserve an item on line and actually you buy in the shop.0 -

Interesting. Is the £60 'confirmed' (as much as these things are) anywhere? I've got a Nokia E5 until next year but I wouldn't mind a nice touchscreen phone instead, plus if it works with this tablet..0
