For anyone looking for some cheap(ish) accessories, Dixons have the case and Touchstone dock for £20 and £35 respectively - much cheaper than Amazon.

I might have to make do with the case and stick a picture of the touchpad in it at this rate... :rotfl:
  • With the amount of units now sold, if i was HP I would seriously be reconsidering discontinuing it
The problem is it is only selling because it is cheap
and they can't afford to keep selling at this price in the future if they make more

And do what? sell it at a £300+ loss?

What they are doing is proving there is a demand for the WebOS that they can then sell on to another company and say, look... there's an install base of 500,000 users

Unfortunately if they started making it again and sold it even at cost price (around $300), no one would buy it because it would be the "cheap" tablet. A better move would be to start developing updates to stop people switching their tablets to Android and gear up for a Touchpad 2 next year.

If HP supported the OS plenty of developers would move to the platform over Android 3 (the tablet version of Android). They already have plenty of Touchpads in the market, more than any other tablet except the iPad - they would struggle to sell any more.

Think I got one from staples - well actually 2 as their site totally messed up! My friend wants one so he can have the other one or I'll ring them up and change the order! And before people start moaning I'm not doing it to make a profit, it was an honest mistake! Hopefully it all is okay as I'm not convinced they'll have enough stock! If it does go through okay then I will pass on my argos reservation number for one of each to anyone that wants it - it's for Merry Hill and needs collecting by Friday but I will wait until I have a dispatch from Staples first!
