I got up to the payment point and it was taking ages to go through.

By that time someone had posted they had been on the phone to staples and they said they were OOS. So, unfortunately i think people may be getting cancellation e-mails.

just managed to order a 16gb one from staples took me a very very long time, fingers tightly crossed

Staples staff also told me on the phone that they were out of stock, I was still able to order one online, waiting for the e-mail confermation now, I do have an order number from the site however.

OK much happier this morning. After ranting a bit about Comet yesterday, they came good today. Phoned them up about the full price one I bought yesterday, and how they wouldn't match the web price instore, and was told that was because the computer system the stores use wasn't updated till midnight. The lady told me to go back to the store and they would refund the difference with no quibbles. Was a bit suspicious about this after the previous night's experience, but sure enough that's exactly what happened.

So full credit to Comet after all Only wish now I'd bought at full price the two I reserved yesterday, but I didn't want to risk getting stung too much so only took one...

(They had none left in store unreserved btw, and this was at 9am.)

Good to hear about Comet customer service.

I have a 32gb sitting waited to be collected later; sounds like I should be good to collect at a reduced price.
