this is what i got from play at silly oclock this morning

    "Thank you for your email.

We always try to ensure that we offer the best value we can at all times, but as our prices are controlled by our suppliers and not us we are unable to predict when the price of an item will change.

It is unfortunate that the price has changed on this occasion, and we do appreciate the disappointment that this has caused, but as the prices that we offer are as competitive as possible we regret that we are unable to offer you a refund for the difference."

still emailed them back saying no one is willing to pay that price anymore and I will just send them back, lets see what happens!!

All those who have ordered from Amazon - check your account...

I ordered at 12.04am on Tuesday and my order has been cancelled without any notice.

... Crud. I was really hoping that this would come through. I hate the fact that having spent 25 hours yesterday and Monday on a constant refreshing spree would actually pay off.

Is it too desperate to think that, if they've not e-mailed us to let us know that they've cancelled it, that it might just be an error that it's not showing up?
    If it rains, it rains.
We'll be in the street, looking thunder in the face,
Singing la la la la la,
    I wont change

Make sure you send RMSD or it'll vanish.

I seem to recall a post somewhere else saying that because of where Play trade from they're not covered by the distance selling regs? If that's true, you'll have a real fight on your hands ??

A Refund when picking them up? :) I did check they were covered by the 28 day return policy and they are. so was just going to hang onto them and see what happens.

Message from Amazon re cancelling my order....

    Hello,

We wanted to give you an update on the status of your order 203-9270803-3121XXX.

We are writing to let you know that we have cancelled the following item from your order:

    Asin: B0054689MQ

Title: HP TouchPad 9.7 inch Tablet PC (16GB, Glossy Black) - UK Version

Unfortunately, we are no longer able to offer this item for sale. Our supplier has informed us that this item has been discontinued and is no longer available.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

Hope is all we have left.

Mine is probably waiting for me at home but at £429 it certainly isn't going to remain with me unless Tesco decide to play ball.

think they will be turning up via courier tomorrow so will just refuse delivery and they will get sent back. looked at their returns policy and all seems ok or i hope so anyway:(

    Pestcoop,

I'm with you! Will be picking mine up at 4pm. I might have to leave them with a technophobic relative to avoid me tearing them open and playing so they are still in return-able condition! As long as they're in my hands and not still with Tesco then I feel confident there's a chance to get the drop in the next few days!

In that case make sure you get something from the driver saying you've refused it. You never know, he might want one !!
