I did not look at Nochex buyer protection prior to purchasing as I was hoping it would be a problem free purchase. I was a little hesitant with my order and kept a check on the Facebook fan page to see many happy customers posting daily about their order before I decided to place my order.

I don't know if the seller is pulling a fast one or if my item is lost in delivery. I don't know what to think. All I know is the recorded tracking number gives me this message:

Recorded Signed For™ items are only tracked after the item has been delivered. Depending on whether the item was sent first or second class, this may be a few days after posting. Please try again later.
Information on your item is not yet available online.

I have never seen that message before so to me it is like the item has not been posted? When I have posted recorded delivery it has always updated on the website and gave a PO address, time and date the item was posted.

That message is the usual one we all get when we post something recorded, for me it never updates past that even when item is delivered. Seller obviously also has issues with recorded and realises it is worthless, hence asking you to wait so long to get a refund. Recorded never shows anything more than that until delivery,

AS you are the buyer it is immaterial to you anyway, that's why recorded is rubbish, all you know is that at some point the seller sent something recorded dleivery, it isn't even necessarily your item- there is no way of checking until the message updates as that will then at least show the delivery office.

If this had been paypal you would of course easily win the dispute and get a full refund, your only hope is that there is some buyer protection hidden somewhere on the Nochex site that isn't easily found.

I've never seen that message on RM tracking as it always updates to show the PO address, time and date item was posted when I have posted items.

I did wonder why the seller would only accept payment through Nochex and not Paypal and that was why I was a bit put off about ordering. She has an eBay account which is linked to Paypal so it started to make me wonder if she is using Nochex because they have no buyer protection unlike paypal.

I am just hoping that the seller issues a refund or Nochex recovers my payment but at the moment I am prepared to wait a few more weeks as it is the least of my worries right now.

Vicx - Did you ever receive your extensions? I ordered some on Sunday, they were in stock according to the website, and paid my £77 inc postage.

I have had an automated email saying the order was accepted and should be delivered in 2-4 days.

The website says 'on order' when I use my order number. I have not been provided with a RM tracking number yet.

I have sent two emails and tweeted 'Imogen' but to no avail :(

I'd be interested to hear if yours ever arrived.

    Thanks

  • The seller is responsible for the delivery of your purchase. It is the seller who must contact the delivery service and prove that the product was delivered. If the seller cannot prove this, they must send you the product again or give you a refund.

    Interesting!!

I recently ordered from foxy locks too for my 16 year old DD who saved up her own money to get these extensions (£76) and I am awaiting delivery of the parcel which has been tracked on Royal mail since 10th March :S

They they have a signature (not my signature or anyone else's I know) but we don't have the goods? I know they didn't attempt to deliver here because both myself and my daughter were at home with flu all week that week.

Have been told by foxy locks to check with neighbours - which I have done (I didn't get a card to say it had been left with neighbours) - nothing with neighbours!

So then I emailed again to say I'd done that, now they're telling me to check with the sorting office as they should have records! failing that I can have a dispute opened with royal mail.

Meanwhile - I have one upset 16 year old DD who has no extensions and no £76!

Where do I stand and what should I do next ??

Follow the advice made previously in this thread - your situation is no different. Seller MUST resend or refund.

Check out the Chargeback article linked at the top of this forum. (£76 is below the Section 75 amount so this would not apply, even if you paid by credit card).
