your claim with royal mail will be declined. You are the party who contracted them for delivery. You either get a refund from the seller or the bank.

Probably best to name and shame so we can see what we can dig up for you...

Thats not true. Either the sender or addressee can make a claim with Royal Mail. They send a cheque to whoever made the claim.

you have no proof they sent the item without the retailer confirming it, if you cant get hold of them and royal mail cant get hold of them then it will get delined.

Anyone can give out a recorded delivery number, only Royal mail can say if its been shipped or not.

Why on earth would you go to Royal mail to get back a proportion of the product cost when no chex and your bank would be more likely to return the full amount.

The lack on information being provided about the website and the lack of information on the website does make me ask - what exactly is it you bought?

The tracking number is proof that the item has been sent or not as Royal Mail can confirm this.

As I said, if I have no luck getting a refund from the seller then I'd make a claim with Royal Mail. Going from the information posted above I don't think my bank would be able to recover the money, it would have to be through Nochex - I am looking on the Nochex website now to see what information I can find.

I don't really want to name the website until I receive a reply to the email I sent as they may offer a refund if I wait a little longer to see if the item eventually arrives. Royal Mail don't class an item as lost until after 15 working days from date of posting. My order is showing as shipped on 12th August so I might be expected to wait until the end of this month. I have just received two 2nd class recorded items this morning both sent on the 18th August so it does seem like my order is lost in delivery or has not been dispatched.

The website is foxy locks extensions .com

There is mixed reviews but a lot of happy customers on the Facebook fan page. I just think the customer service is lacking which someone else mentioned on another forum.

There is the company's registered address at the bottom of their Terms and Conditions webpage.

    That might be useful.

Great thanks. If I am not offered a refund from the seller or if Nochex won't recover my money then that address will be useful for the Royal Mail claim form. I would rather receive £46 compensation from Royal Mail than nothing at all.

Everytime I have posted items by recorded delivery the PO told me that they are insured up to £34, the compensation must have gone up recently as the website now shows compensation up to a maximum value of 100 x first class stamps.
