some Drivers
Nearly had an accident this morning, still shaking now.
I was joining a roundabout and checking the road on my left as i was still driving and a stupid driver in front of me had stopped in the middle of the roundabout to let someone join further round.
Just managed to stop in time i am sure there was only about an inch gap
Love it

You should have been more observant. You need to check the road in front of you and not just the road beside you.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
So you almost drove into a stationary object, and you think the stationary object was to blame?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

And to be still shaking now, is being a little over dramatic isn't it?
I am guessing you passed your test a couple of weeks ago.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Whilst I agree with you, the highway code says you don't give way to people who don't have right of way, one of my pet hates, often people who do this don't think about what's around them, giving way to other vehicles that don't have right of way puts cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians at risk.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
not when it only happened a few minutes ago
Seriously?
It happened a few minutes ago, so you, whilst "still shaking now" came home, opened MSE and posted here about it? Did the driver get out of hs car and threaten you? Were you driving so fast that you could barley stop? Were there sharp pointy objects hurtling towards you? If not, why are you "still shaking now?"The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Which flipping rule says that?
In fact, there are more rules that imply motorists should be courteous to all road users. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Pretty much hit the nail on the head there.
It could just as easily have been something else that happened in front of them. Anything from a car breaking down to a cyclist falling off their bike."One thing that is different, and has changed here, is the self-absorption, not just greed. Everybody is in a hurry now and there is a 'the rules don't apply to me' sort of thing." - Bill Bryson0 -
