Sorry for the delay in replying.... it was at the Alperton branch (near Hanger Lane).
Why don't you ask the W1 store if they can transfer some across for you?Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees!0 -
Where can I buy those large plastic containers of white vinegar please? I haven't got access to a cash and carry.0

sell 5 Litre White Vinegar for £40 -
I was going to suggest buying white vinegar from Summer Naturals too. I've not bought vinegar from there but have used the site for other items such as deoderant stones and essential oils.
Obviously postage would bump the cost up but if you were ordering other items or saving on petrol/parking costs then it could be worth while.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -

Good heavens! My local Chinese supermarket has white vinegar at 99 pence for 5 litres!0 -
I just went to Asda and bought five bottles of their Smart Price Vinegar - Currently on special offier at 13p a pint (568ml).
I was lucky enough to get a washing machine from Freecycle. It is in good working order, but was smelling a bit musty. After a bit of research I learned about maintenance washes (One at 90C with soda crystals and one at 90C using a pint of vinegar in the drum). I ran these cycles and my machine is already loads cleaner - there was mould on the door seal that is now almost completely gone. The built up gunk around the door and drum is gone and the limescale is massively reduced. To save cash/energy I plan to combine my bedding/whites hotwash with the maintenance cycle - I never knew you were supposed to wash bedding at 60C+ to kill bacteria and bed bugs/fleas/etc. There must be a lot of people like me (and the people I got the washing machine from) that always wash at 40C. You'd think this kind of information would be made more widely available.
Anyway, rambling over...
I figure that the five bottles I bought for 65p should see me through until May.
This is the cheapest I've seen vinegar anywhere. Hope that helps.

I've been using it for descaling the electric kettle as well for many years.
Recently used it for the first time with a steam iron to clear blocked jets and, only earlier this week, it sorted out a steam cleaner that didn't "steam" any more due to limescale particles.
Far cheaper than any "descaler" product I've ever come across, and use can re-use it several times.
