Help my hair just doesn't grow!

Does anyone out there know if there are any supplements that I could take, or anything I could do to make my hair grow faster?

I have just had my hair trimmed and she has cut off what I have just grown in the previous eight weeks, therefore back to square one. This happens everytime I have my hair cut as my hair grows so slowly and I can never get it longer than a bob.I have been trying to grow my hair for 8 years now.

I have been for a consultation for hair extensions but she said that I would need to grow it a bit first as this would achieve a more natural look.

I am so fed up and feeling frumpy and unglamorours!!

Theres a really good Lee stafford shampoo conditioner and treatment that is sold in Boots or Boots online called Lee Stafford Hair Growth. Its also on offer at the moment. Has got very good reviews, worth a try!

Does your hair actually need to be cut every 8 weeks? Perhaps trying to go to 12 weeks would give it more of a chance to grow.

was just about to say this. when i last went to the hairdressers she told me as im trying to grow my hair theres no need to go every 6-8weeks and can leave it a little longer. just keep an eye on the condition of it.
and i always ask her to trim off the bare minimum - usually around a cm - just enough to get rid of any split ends
also a good deep conditioner may help, as well conditioned hair should grow better. i personally like the aussie 3 minute conditioner. although thats only suitbale if you have fairly thick hair - its a bit much for thin hair! x

Agreed, try cutting it less often if you can. My hair gets two cuts a year if it's lucky and I've managed to get it nice and long. When I was trying to grow out a bob, I went for a few years just getting an inch a year trimmed off!

I would leave it longer but different parts of it grow at different rates ie: the top grows quicker than the back, which is where I need the length. But I do take your point so will try to leave it ten weeks between cuts and make sure I look after it really well so no split ends. Thanks:)

When you massage your conditioner in you may just be concentrating on the top. Try to concentrate the massaging on the area you wish to grow more than the top.

Does massaging conditioner on the hair actually make it grow? or is it the scalp being stimulated that can help? Confused.. I could try both I suppose.
