Unfortunately butternut squash is a no no on atkins too high in carbs. I'm on the OWL stage of atkins and I find both Aldi and Lidl are great for cheap deli meat. Try farmfoods for hot smoked mackerel and stock up on frozen green veg, cauliflower and bacon. Beans and lentils are usually only included at the maintaining weight stage.Turnip is good in chunks as a sub for potatoes.Eggs best buy at the mo for me is FR 24 for £4 in Mr T. Check lidl weekend deals for meat and veg last week was big bags of spinach. HTH"Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

Do you make use of the cheapest cuts of meat?
Sainsbury's basics pork chops £3.57kg
Sainsbury's Lamb or Chicken Liver £2.49kg (Ox and pigs liver even cheaper)
Sainsbury's Basics Cooking Bacon £1.49kg
Sainsbury's Freedom Food Chicken Thighs & Drumsticks £3.33kg
Sainsbury's Basics Turkey Mince £3.64kg
The cooking bacon in particular is a bargain. Very tasty steamed together with onion and cabbage and a good lump of butter.
try making pate with the chicken liver. You can serve with crudites or as a slice with salad.
The basics pork chops are delicious slow casseroled or tightly wrapped in foil with different seasonings and cooked very slowly The turkey mince will make a meatloaf which is handy to keep in the fridge and eat cold in slices as a snack if you are peckish or hm meatballs. !

few more ideas
make a crustless quiche, that will last u a few meals cheaply
agree about using cauli for rice u can also make a pizza using cauli or courgette as the base (google or yell if u cant find the recipe). make a couple of those and u will have a few meals
as was suggested root veg in stews is brill, use loads then take some out and whizz or mash them to add back to thicken it.
make shepherds pie with swede instead of mash
look for offcuts of meat on the deli counter - very cheap and sometimes u get lumps of ham and chicken in it
i grow salad leaves on the windowsill in an old large mushroom plastic container or if u have room for a couple of largish pots, everlasting spinach is greatWhen you know better you do better0 -

I tried the atkins diet once and failed miserably. I couldn't stand the amount of meat that was needed oh and the lack of tea:o.
Have you tried Debbie & Andrews Harrogate 97% sausages.
They are also wheat, gluten and dairy free. So hopefully should be fine for you to eat. think the the two types typoes are chiploatas or thick pork sausages.
They are quite expensive but if your lucky at least one a month in both of these shops you get them on offer, think its 2 or 3 packs for £5.
They also sell various other flavours so could be worth ooking out for them.
My MIL, she's on the atkins diet too eats lots bacon (Sainsburys cooking one) , eggs, cream and tons of turkey. Its cheap and very taste if cooked right.

Kezlou I'm doing lowcarb and I drink de-caf tea and lacto-free milk.
Cauli is the low-carbers best friend - you can use it as a substitute for rice, make a pizza base and mashed as a topping for shepherds pie.
I keep costs down by making my own coleslaw, lots of mince based dishes, frozen chicken breasts and whole chickens.
I did a crustless quiche and it was lush!
Whenh I'm not being too strict I treat myself to home-made veg pakoras with gram (chickpea) flour.
Atkins or low carb can be done cheaply but you have to do a heck of alot more chopping and cooking from scratch, but thats a good thing0
