There is something else that sounds similar that's on the tip of my brain, but I can't recall for the life of me what it is!

Lol it's one of those things that comes to you when you're either in bed at 5am (less likely if you're us ;)) or like doing something random like in the coffee ailse in Mr Ts when you can't do anything about it and then forget again when you get back to the computer :p
How are things with you today/yesturday, preparing for CC?
Um, I'm experiencing usual AF carpyness - joints dislocating and aching, nerve endings flaring, IBS flaring, and all round fatigue, so everything else can bog off for now :p Feels like this is going to be the shortest AF I've had for a year though (due to the shortest cycle I've had for a year :j) but even when the witch has bogged off, I can't jump DH til Tues arvo as he has to do his SA on Tues morning.

Being dragged over to MILs tomorrow to wrap her christmas presents for her. I wouldn't mind normally, but I just cba frankly. I want to stay home and sulk! a0826a95ac469d7516bd1203a48b171081d0a1a0.jpg

We went shopping this eve, to try and get the last few bits of Christmas presents (need 90% of them by Sunday as my side is gathering then, and DH's aunt is up on the weekend too), but the shop we specifically went for isn't there anymore (even though the website - nation wide store this is btw - says it's there and lists the opening hours!) and then Sainsbury's didn't have the watch in stock that I was getting for my sister! e4616c584ada1bd002c06b9bbffd022004b87ed2.jpg

Can you tell I just want to moan tonight? :p

That sounds aweful, just what you need, as if AF isn't bad enough

I think your cycle is about 2 days behind me and we are on roughly the same length, here's hoping that they Christmas/new year is the time for us :D

At least his SA is near the beginning of the cycle (day 10 I think) so shouldn't effect OV.

Ooh I love rapping, it's my favourite part. Last year I did furoshiki but it got rather expensive (later learnt that it is tradition to return the material once the present has been opened)

That deserves a moan! OH hasn't got his side yet and need them for Sunday. I suggested Lakeside shopping centre on Saturday however as he reminded me, the last Saturday before Christmas is probably not the best time to go ;)

Personally I am feeling quite serene at the moment, although that is sure to change :o

Mmmm, it makes me rather chirpy, as you can imagine...(!) 807369ea567d4e8dd3841b2dd6ef0a5af97aa176.jpg I spend half my time willing someone to p*** me off, so I have an excuse to go ballistic! e9b369b050914972d9b51b13d43e012ed46b7605.jpg I get all "c'mon punk, make my day" f8b26da5a64a7d641a0ddb0a0204cda728d1a973.jpg

Very true. I'm not worried about it from that side of things, plus we only have to have it done before freaking May, we've got time should we want to cancel ;)

I like wrapping, more than most people, but I just cba to be away from my own gaff atm. I feel like I've not spent any time here for about 2months, which considering MIL's stroke was something like 6weeks ago, isn't too far off...

Furoshiki sounds very interesting and exotic!

the last Saturday before Christmas is probably not the best time to go ;)
I wanted the Christmas dinner/food shopping done by now, all nestled in to the freezer/fridge. I *hate* being one of the self same n0bs I'm trying to avoid at the supermarket, but I can't do it on my own, and DH is being less than pre-emptively efficient just now... 67626cd5d840adc11c5d79016cddbe4aaf4c3215.jpg

Serene is good. I'll let you pass on some serene.

One of the problems with this nerve pain is that it makes me really irritated/agitated... you know like if some annoying person keeps like prodding you on somewhere even more annoying, like your collar bone or something? And you just want to turn round and deck them? It makes me like that ALL the time... it's a wonder DH is still alive actually lol :p

(I think it may be time to resort to more drugs... hmmm...eeny meeny miney mo...)

Are you planning on going away at Christmas, or just hiding away in the house?

I know that feeling, many a time have I gone off on one with complete strangers. :D Mainly at train stations during rush hour.
I like wrapping, more than most people, but I just cba to be away from my own gaff atm.

Understandable, you have been away quite a bit, has Mil agreed to any further help?

Just realised I spelt wrapping wrong so it looks like I am about to burst into song guitar-play.gif

can you not order online, there is still time and you won;t have to go through all the hassle?

I can only imagine. I have a friend who was a conjoined twin and has a constant headache because of it. I always wondered how she isn't constantly in a foul mood (she does have a short temper however)

Hiding at home with roast lamb. Going to get a computer game and waste the christmas period playing games like when we first started dating :D

The dogs keep running the risk of the wrath of my foot atm ;) (Especially as I keep hearing them creeping around outside my door trying to make a nice little nest of my dirty washing pile!c233672256aa42e1ddb1135fda560284eda8f043.jpg)
Understandable, you have been away quite a bit, has Mil agreed to any further help?
Hmm... not really. Allegedly she's agreed to let them help her shower tomorrow (long story involving the care team manager going to see her, for the 2nd time in a week, so they must have her down as a problem case ;)) but I'll believe it when I've seen it ;) She's still only "letting" that happen once a week (nowhere near enough), and is still only having 2 visits a day (AM and tea time) - considering that today she dropped tomato soup all over the kitchen cos she couldn't hold it, and Tuesday she nearly burnt her arm on the grill cos she was trying to make cheese on toast, I'd say she needs at least a visit at lunch time too - where they'll help her make some lunch... but no. She's a stubborn old battleaxe.

I've actually been actively staying away from her in the daytimes, because I want her to realise how much help she needs, instead of it being masked by me doing things for her iyswim? This team is only in place for a maximum of 6weeks, a week has already passed and she hasn't let them actually DO anything for her yet... when the team's time is up, she needs to have agreed to a permanent carer IMHO.

(Wow, you really shouldn't've asked tonight!! :o)
Just realised I spelt wrapping wrong so it looks like I am about to burst into song guitar-play.gif
I know you're serenading me, my dear. Carry on, it soothes me...

I could, but I don't want to. We'll get all the short dated products, and I don't really know what I want til I get to the shop and get inspired :o Also, I think me and DH need to actually go and do this together to try and feel a bit more like it's Christmas, and we're actively participating... neither of us feels remotely festive atm...

    Where were/are they conjoined?
She's probably keeping a lid on the foul mood but doesn't take much to tip the balance and make her snap... that's how I am a lot of the time! :p
Hiding at home with roast lamb. Going to get a computer game and waste the christmas period playing games like when we first started dating :D
 tasty! I made lamb shanks a few weeks ago cos I spotted them reduced. They were the first I'd ever done and they were soooo good! The dogs enjoyed the bones for weeks too :p

DH has the most time off at Christmas he's had since before he started working, this year, I think... so he's planned in buying new pj's and doing nothing but watching films on the couch all day under his snuggly blanket :p

Not at all, lets hope in the next couple of weeks she realises, surely she'll learn that she will have more independence by accepting help from professionals than having to rely on family members who can't be there 24/7

Makes sense, brings Christmas more into focus. Just prepare for the morons :)

If there is anything I've learnt, there's no such thing as "surely" when it comes to my MIL! :p

Aye, I deeply suspect we'll go at stupid o'clock at some point... hopefully tomorrow night so it's done and I can stop worrying about it.

At the head, hence the headaches. (You can't tell but she still has to go to hospital regularly)
    Ah. Makes sense.
With one of my conditions it's named after a swelling they used to find at the base of the skull/neck that was presumed to cause the problem. Nowadays you don't need this swelling to be diagnosed with it, but I can feel mine and it drives me mad. If there was actual physical damage, like I'm assuming she's got because they've presumably had to dissect things and cut nerve endings, she must really struggle some days :(

I got a slanket last year for Christmas :D

Now to find some decent films to watch....

Btw Nicki, I've just checked out that recipe and it sounds and looks devine! thanks for sharing it, 'though you might have to make another cos secrets seems to have pigged out on it and then fallen asleep in a corner...
