Fingers crossed for a September baby, I'd settle for any 2012 baby:p

Well an August baby would be just as nice.

I did not use OPKs this month because I am trying to not worry about ttcing (i am fed up of af turning up after having different symptoms each month) So I am going by my body and what it is telling me has happened.

I'd marginally prefer an August baby too, and not just because I am impatient and want to be pregnant again noooow.

My DS2 is a September baby and quite bright with it. Trouble is this means he will be almost 5 when he starts school (ie will turn 5 2 weeks after the start of term). He would benefit I think from starting the year before. My plan is to start him in nursery mornings only from this September, when he will be 2, just about to turn 3, rather than wait for a full extra year, but that then means he'll be doing 2 years of nursery which will probably also not stretch him very much. You can't know of course before they arrive what kind of child you will get, and some August babies who end up being the youngest in the year, are not ready to start school at their official start date either. Maybe the optimum is to have a Spring baby so you are 4 and a half when you start, but I definitely don't want to wait that long for another BFP.

I was one of the oldest at school, my mum said that I was bored at nursery and the first 2 years of school was painfully slow as I could already read and write when I got in (my sis is a year older than me and I picked it up from her). I can't remember any of these tbh but did really well at school throughout my life and found studying easy. My sister on the other hand was one of the youngest and she struggled until she was about 10 but did really well after (she is a teacher now).

I am not that bothered about schooling tbh, I just want to have a baby!

CD4 here, period already finished. Does anyone else have short periods such as 2.5-3 days?

Yup, I have really short periods too. I wondered whether it would be problem with ttc but I googled and apparently women with short/light periods have as much chance of conceiving as anyone else.

Can I join in with operation Christmas conception please?

I am on Operation BFP for Christmas and not much else I can do now but wait.

Me too - FF FINALLY put in a crosshair for me (although it put it in yesterday and then changed it this morning - I think what it changed it to is more accurate). I'm 3DPO, which puts me at 14DPO on Christmas Eve. FF suggests waiting to test until 28th December, which is clearly not going to happen!

Fingers crossed we get a nice Christmas present :)

2b3ac, I hope today has gone ok - I hate dreading going back into work after something like that.

QQ, how far will your DH have to come back? Is it feasible that he could do it? Is he prepared to?

Kavics-I have very short and light periods since having implant removed, usually 2 days light and 1 day spotting. Having said that this time I didn't have the pre CD1 late night spotting I have been getting and just launched straight into CD1. My GP didn't seem at all concerned about it when I asked her.

QQ hope you get hubby back for his bit and get things moving with your IVF-how are you feeling about it? Hope you're okay and not too stressed xx

I generally have a period for about 4/5 days but last month I had one for 8 days and it was fresh blood every day no dark blood. Possibly the strangest period I have ever had. It just slowly disappeared.

Q's OH has a 7 hour flight to get back.

I know it's not funny at all in terms of the pressure & I hope you don't take offence at the fact that it makes me smile to think of a bloke at an airport ready to make what is likely to be a 12-14 hour end to end journey to 'make a deposit' and then do the same to get back ready for work on Monday morning.

It's a shame he couldn't have the tests wherever he is (or is the deposit to be used for the IVF?)

Hope he's well paid (or that work will pay for the extra flight back).

Obviously I hope I get a BFP in a week, if not I'll be joining the NYE BDers.

Mine last month was strange too - it was my second post MC, it was much heavier than usual and I spotted for about three days afterwards, which I never usually get. Bizarre.

It's amazing what TTC makes you notice about your body. I'd never checked my CM before now, certainly...

Oooh, I must have missed that. Not ideal :S
