hello all *waves nervously*, can I come and play please?

We've been TTC for a couple of years now (on and off a bit, around various ops and treatment). I've got endo and quite erratic cycles so no luck so far.

I'm on CD1 today. Knew this wouldn't be our month as we both had flu so there was no BDing as we both felt too ill to bother. OH never knows about CD, ov, or any of the 'details' as we both prefer it that way.

We haven't had any specific tests yet - other than those relating to my endo. I'm starting to think we'll have to go down that route though as it's just not happening. I'm nearly 33, and OH is 39 so time is not on our side. Part of me is really resisting tests etc. as I just don't want to make things more clinical, and I worry about how OH would cope tbh.

Right, enough rambling from me. Good luck everyone, here's to lots of BFPs before Christmas.

I think so... I'm not used to checking so keep forgetting to! TBH this morning was the first time I remembered to do the OPK using FMU, was hoping the lack of any lines was because I was testing on an afternoon, but it made no difference! Ah well, like I said, we'll just BD as often as we can (which judging by this week's effort is not very often! :o) in the hope that the eggy will arrive at some point!

    Welcome tealover!

Oooo! She's right Aless that is a great looking chart! Fingers crossed it's a beany pushing those temps up :D

((hugs)) Sa-ra-ra-ra Hope it's just a blip with your temps.

 Hello Tealover. Welcome to the thread, I hope your stay is short and sweet.

You are supposed to use afternoon urine not FMU to give time for the LH to build up in your body. Do you hold your wee for three hours and not drink in that time when you test in the afternoons? If not that could be the reason your not getting any +ves.

Errr.... no! See, this is why I'm trying the 'relaxed' approach, I clearly have no idea what I'm doing! :rotfl:

There's no way I could hold my wee for 3 hours! I'm like a pregnant lady already always nipping to the loo and I've got no excuse! :o

Welcome tealover - I hope your stay here is short and you get your BFP soon. I am similar to you in that been trying since 2009 and although I have a cbfm I don't tell Dh when I ov or what cd I am on as don't want to put pressure on us. I am 38 and Dh is 47 so we are older than you and time is not on our side.

Me too, have been TTC since June 2009:(

I had 7 clomid cycles, of which 3 were with IUIs, and one IVF (ICSI), all unsuccessful:( Had one natural pg which ended in mc too back in Aug 2009:o Oh, and I have PCO and DH has pretty bad swimmers:p

I'm onto some Chinese medicine and perhaps will try another IVF in the near future:)
OH never knows about CD, ov, or any of the 'details' as we both prefer it that way.
So long as he can BD regularly:D
Part of me is really resisting tests etc. as I just don't want to make things more clinical, and I worry about how OH would cope tbh.
DH didn't like doing SAs, especially when the results came back bad:(
I didn't mind scans and getting tubes checked, done worse when I had an op after my mmc.
    I just want a baby asap!:j

I've added you to the list on the first page, let me know if you'd like it changed:)

Have you tried doing one just before going to bed? Don't drink after dinner though:p
Remember you will only get lines for a day or 2 during the cycle:cool:

I'm not too great at it either but I found it a bit easier because you're not supposed to drink.
Just try holding it as long as you can.

Like QQ says you might find it easier doing it in the evening.
I find I need the loo more when I'm not at home - I think it's a bit psychological and I start to worry that I won't be able to find a toilet. I can't even sit through a film at the cinema without going but I think it's because it's in the back of my mind that I'm watching the film and I can't ask them to pause it so I'll have to try wait.:p

  • QQ, I am definately not going to text DH that sort of news - he will be lucky if he gets out having to stare at the still wet stick to wait for the result :rotfl:
