Positive OPK a few minutes ago! Though only high on CBFM this morning. But my temp did drop a little this morning too, so will see what it does over the next few days. And we dtd last night, which was good timing. So just need to keep OH ready and raring to go for the next 3 days to comply with SMEP then into the waiting game. I have a particularly busy fortnight coming up so hopefully that will keep my mind occupied and I don't end up like last month testing fruitlessly and obsessively from CD10!

Sperm meets egg plan. It is a recommended schedule of bding post miscarriage to optimize chances of conception. Also works if you aren't post loss too I think. Google it for details as it is long to type out.

There is no way I would telll my parents that we are trying for a baby, they aren't in the least baby friendly and would probably declare that it will ruin my life. They aren't bad people, just not people persons. My FIL knows, and is quite excited. He's in his 70's and would like a grandchild especially as he doesn't have any of his own (his wife- my MIL) had 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandkids but he never really truely treated them as his own (some of the grandkids were born before they even met). Since my MIL died he has hardly seen them at all, mind you I am not surprised, me and OH stay away from them and OH's half-sister anyway.

Well not sure what is going on here as I have run out of Ov Sticks, so not entirely sure if I have ovulated or not. But BD'd all weekend, so hopefully that's done some good.

Just read back. Big congratulations esio. 2 years is a perfectly respectable gap between kids. How long would have been the ideal for you then? I think you will find your toddler is old enough to be sensible about the new baby and once the new one is mobile the age gap is small enough that they will soon become friends and play together. At 2, your oldest will also be a bit more independent and able to wait for things if you are feeding changing a newborn. I had 13 months between my first two, and that was a much sillier gap, and one I wouldn't particularly recommend. And 7 years between 2 and 3 which is much more leisurely than I would have liked, so there is no pleasing me!

Thanks for all the congrats and nice wishes, will miss you all and plan to lurk!

I got impatient and did the second test in the box, 4 days before AF date midflow sample and not with FMU - still positive. At least my impatience has taught us that Tesco digis work this early, despite saying not to test until AF due! Couldn't find an mIu level anywhere on it though expect its fairly low as was a fairly strong positive when I took it apart for inspection!

Nikki, actually, 2 years was the ideal, it's just the reality hitting I think! And the hard day my DS has just given me!

I won't tell my parents we are trying - they wouldn't sleep at night with the excitement!

I also would feel that it would be unnecessary pressure.
