Trying for a Baby Part 7

Can I creep in for some moral support for the next few weeks? I've been lurking for a few weeks. We had a month NTNP after the removal of a mirena. AF was due yesterday but still no sign. I had a tiny amount of spotting 8 days ago for one day. Since yesterday, sore boobs, cramps and increased cm. My kids are on holiday until 6 September, and the oldest two are old enough to work out what I would be putting in my shopping basket, so no chance of buying a test until they go back to school
We've had fertility problems in the past (I am a graduate of the ttc+ thread) and I am on the older side so didn't expect to fall a few weeks after removing the mirena, if I have done. Not sure how OH is going to feel either. Can see me driving myself bonkers until AF turns up, or I can POAS, so some company would be great!0 -
Welcome Nicki - hope you get the result you want.
Another high on CBFM for me today - weird cos usually it would be my peak today, but it is a new batch of test sticks, I'm now taking evening primrose oil, so it could be down to that.
Hugs for all who need or want them,

Morning all. You lot are making me giggle this morning.
QQ can I be put as X DPO, I know I am post ov but dont know exactly which day.I'm just counting down to CD28 and will test then if no AF.0 -
Morning all,
I've been lazy about catching up for a few days and now have no hope of doing so!!
Huge congrats to all the BFP's!! This thread is super-fertile :j
CD12 for me today, nothing much exciting happening. Trying to BD every day as I ov'd on CD13 last month, although I'm self sabotaging by waking up early
quick question for those that take EPO - how much did you take, and did you see a difference? I've been taking it since CD1 at 1000 whatever the units are/day and not noticing much CM. Did get some EWCM yesterday, but it might have been my "new and improved" collecting technique.
Loading up on green tea and grapefruit juice (yuck) too!
Have great days everyone,

The best thing I found for increasing cm was robuttissin which is the active ingredient in kids cough medicine for chesty coughs. When I conceived my last child, after 23 months of trying, I used it on my successful cycle. I was also using a CBFM and I took 1 tsp a day when it said high, then 3 tsps per day for the 2 peak days, then stopped. It might have been complete coincidence that I conceived that month, but I did notice that my EWCM was more copious. I didn't try EPO but grapefruit juice did nothing for me, and I don't like the taste anyway!0

Thanks for that Nicki,
I will add it to the list for next month - hopefully I won't need it eh? Where did you get it?
I suppose as I'm due to ov tomorrow, there's not much point getting it today?
Grapefuit juice is gross isn't it? I didn't even escape when I was away for work as the B&B I was staying in had fresh grapefuit and I felt too guilty not to have some!

I got mine in Sainsburys! Most of the kids cough medicines contain it, just look at the labels though. I think the one I had was an own brand. You could try taking it from today at the max dose. It is designed to work quickly to thin down mucousy coughs (sorry TMI!) and usually works for coughs within a few hours. I can't immediately see why it would be any different for other mucousy parts of the body0

I'm taking the 1000mg EPO divorcingjack - can't say I've noticed any difference in CM really either, but I've had a lot more high days on my CBFM, so don't know if it's having any affect there.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Great, thanks again Nicki - shopping trip to Tesco this afternoon it is! Better hide it in the bathroom cabinet in case DH thinks I have gone completely mental!
Sexymouse - I'm not using a CBFM so that is interesting to hear. I think I'll try the cough stuff and finish off the tub of EPO I have. Can't do any harm right?
Better get shopping!

I didn't let him know that it was twice a day so hopefully I'll only lose 6 sticks - but it's worth that many for the comedy value! At least he's seeing things from a female point of view as he'll know what it's like to be waiting for that positive!!
That is a classic, I love it!!
My OH was just mystified with the OPK's I don't think he still really understands the whole process from my point of view. He's just worried that is swimmers aren't up to the job."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0
