Nicki that made me LAUGH!
Sorry you came across somebody so ignorant.
To be honest, she was just completely tactless and out of her depth, rather than trying to be nasty or rude. The MOST ignorant old lady I ever met was only a few months ago when we were on holiday in Cornwall. My DS stumbled and brushed against her, and she responded really aggressively even though we had immediately apologised, and when she was told politely that DD was disabled, her response was "She's not disabled, she's just a little hooligan" I was so gobsmacked and angry at the time I posted a whole thread about it on here at the timeBut I was very polite and restrained with her too, funnily enough, though have since thought of a dozen things I'd like to say to her about that incident should I ever run across her again...

Can I ask opinion please, as I'm stressing and don't know what to do.
Despite the fact that my CBFM gave me my first peak this morning, I had a + on the OPK the day before (23rd), and that day (23rd), plus the day before (22nd) that had an abundance of EWCM. This morning, hardly any. Really nowhere near as much as the day before, or the day before that. I have to have a good oly poke to find just a little bit.
That, combined with the dip in my temp this morning, make me suspect I have ovulated already (and missed it by inseminating just & only this morning, grrr). I have the donor booked for tomorrow at 7am, but I don't want to waste the ££s for the hotel room, if the timing isn't right. CBFM can get things wrong, right?!
Can I have your thoughts please lovely ladies as to whether you think I have ovulated or not.Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -
Hiya 2ba,
I don't use a CBFM so I'm prob not going to be much help to you really..
BUT, I do temp and use FF, and the same thing has happened to me the last couple of months - FF has told me that I Ov'd a day later than I thought.
On the day that FF said, mt cervix wasn't as soft and I had much less EWCM. My theory is that I ovulated either overnight or v early in the morning, and the CM and temp change wasn't recorded until the next day, confusing FF.
Does that make any sense? What are your temps doing?Self-building fund : £4259

That makes perfect sense, thank you!
I had the + OPK at 10am yesterday, and then it was positive (but a bit less so that afternoon), so I guess I ovulated after that - before this morning. BUT I wonder why CBFM would still pick up the surge in the morning.

I remember that thread. I was so angry for you and your daughter.

Hmmmm, doesn't a restless night normally put your temp up? So perhaps if you'd slept normally it would have been more of a dip?
So, with the CBFM you can have more than one peak, right? So, if you'd ov'd some time during the day or later that afternoon, you prob would have got a peak and then the peak you saw the next day was leftovers? The temp on the previous day wouldn't have taken account of the impending ov, and the dip would have been related to the ov in the afternoon??
I don't really know enough about how it works to be sensible, I'm afraid! I'm guessing that your temp might go up tomorrow, but I wouldn't bet on it.
My stuff is all over the place at the minute, so I'm mentally overriding FF and believing that I did ov a day sooner than it says.
So, basically, what I'm trying to say is that I don't know! :rotfl:

Usually you ov between 12-36 hours after your positive. If you had ov'd then your temp would be up rather than dip (it can dip just prior to ov).
If you got a +ve on the OPK and a peak on your CBFM then I would guess seeing the donor today and yesterday should be fine.
Even if you did ov before you met the donor you still have time- remember the eggie can live around 24 hours.
The circle is white on FF for today did you take it at a different time? That can make a difference. Also did you have the air con in the room? Being in a different room where the temperature is different could affect your BBT.

Oh, I'm useless at this ...
I'm sooo confused!! With CBFM it will automatically give you a peak AFTER your first peak.Usually you ov between 12-36 hours after your positive. If you had ov'd then your temp would be up rather than dip (it can dip just prior to ov).

We only saw him this morning, not the day before - but I keep getting confused, because I thought a dip would mean that I had already ovulated, but if thats the case, i could be ovulating right now and see temp rise tomorrow. Right?
In which case it might be worth seeing donor tomorrow morning?
It was a bit earlier than normal, its usually around 6 or 7... I'm struggling to do it at the same time every day... but no air con on.
Thanks for your help everyone, I still don't know what to do!Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -

I think it's best to ignore everything I sayNot having used the CBFM, I don't want to give you bad advice by guessing!

I do know that temps go up once you've ovulated. Mine don't always shoot up, but they do go up.
Sorry for confusing you!
I just had another thought - perhaps you ovulated only a few hours before you temped this morning, so there wouldn't have been time to reflect a temp rise, but your EWCM would have dried up over the course of the day. Don't know how that ties in with the CBFM peaks though.Self-building fund : £4259
