Trying for a Baby Part 7

Thanks Nicki
The reason that we wanted to, is everybody I know who has DTD with donor sperm (and I know its not the same rule for all) has conceived if they have DTD the day before the peak - and that's the only day we haven't managed to do so far! My preference would be day before and day of peak.
Also I thought that because the sperm can take quite a while to get there, it would be better to do get them in their for their long journey!
Do I count?. My first baby was IUI but with DH's sperm not donor sperm, and was on the morning after an LH surge, so the equivalent of day 1 peak (:o it was before the invention of CBFM).
Don't forget that most techniques for getting sperm where it needs to be artificially are way more efficient than old fashioned bding. Your donor's guys are travelling on a high speed shuttle, not the number 29 bus like the rest of us :rotfl:0 -
Hi, I simply cannot keep up with everyone on here, but I do read when I can! Still nothing happening here, just waiting for AF and knicker watching!
Has anyone had reflexology? I was just looking thorugh my Medicash benefits and reflexology is in there, a woman I used to work with did it as a sideline was a firm believer in how good it was and gave me a couple of sessions which were lovely and left me feeling wonderful, but I just love anyone rubbing my feet!Anyway, I was looking at it since I can get my money back through my health plan so I might as well treat myself to a couple of sessions and saw that there's quite a bit of press about it helping people concieve... worth a try right?! I know I've hardly even started trying but if it helps to sort out my cycles I'll be happy! If not...well I do love a foot rub!
Birdie - I have reflexology once a month and I love it, really relaxing and I have it for my ibs but have read that women have had it to help them conceive.0 -
You're not a Pisces are you?!
Nope, TaurusAre Pisceans impatient or something?!
How much does the reflexology cost you Primmer? I remember after the sessions I had (which were free as my colleague was trying to convince me of the merits of it so I have no idea about cost!) I slept like a baby, worth it just for that!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I get tension headaches. What helped keep it under control for me was regular massage. I started at 1 every week for 2 weeks then out to 1 every fortnight then for me I settled between 1 every 3-4 weeks. Then it kept it under control. I started more regularat the beginnning to get the tension relieved as it had built up a lot.
I was thinking of getting a massage as I figure it would be good to relax whether I've been having tension headaches or not.0 -
I had reflexology when I was in Thailand on holiday, and it was absolutely amazing - I felt like I was floating on a cloud afterwards and could hardly stay awake. It was just for relaxation rather than for a specific condition or reason. I tried it again when I was over here (at the place where Moon and I used to work - where we met - it was only £15 for 40 minutes) but it was nowhere near like what I'd had a abroad. I think most salons charge about £40-£50 for about the same length of time here though, so it was quite cheap.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Birdie - I pay £35 for 45 minutes and as a once a month treatment it is well worth it.0

That's not bad Primmer, I've just sent a request to a lady near me, hopefully she'll get in touch soon and I can get my feet rubbed!
I'm hoping she'll charge cheap Yorkshire prices too!

Thanks for all the kind words everyone,
My friend has just left to go home so I'm going to sit and plan the things I want to sort around the house for the rest of my time off. I need to be productive, I've had enough of mooching around!

Is that the first time it did it for you? It is for me. Before that if you look it only peaks high for a day or 2 and then goes down. So my cycles are changing and it kind of matches with getting more pmt symptoms of sore boobs etc last couple of months. So maybe my progesterone is on the up... or something ... lol
I just had a look at mine and last month my temp went down below the coverline on CD4 so took ages! It did drop a bit on CD1 but not below it. And I spotted 2 days before CD1 and my temp was high, therefore i was not expecting that!!
I hadnt temped though before last month so it was the first time but only because of that.
This month, well Im now on 12DPO and hoping to wake up with another high temp tomorrow. I thought I was getting cramps earlier but then they disappeared, so who knows! I did go in the shops on my way home from work earlier and bought a massive tub of chocolate ice cream and other naughty stuff incase AF does appear tomorrow!0
