You can tell by your cervical mucus (CM), ovulation prediction kits/sticks/tests, but temping is the only thing that confirms it.

Those symptoms sound more pmtish to me. But everyone is different.



Lovely sunny weather again today, the only bad thing is that I tried to plant some bulbs at the weekend and cos it hasnt rained properly for about 3 or 4 weeks, the ground was like concrete so I couldnt do it! Looks like its set to get chillier this week though, which I do not like because I do not like cold weather!

Btw did anyone read that thing in the paper today about women who are more stressed when ttc are more likely to have a girl?

thanx Claire if I started to do my temp each day would it get higher when I OV as I'm new to all this and never taken my temp before

Yes it should do. I hadnt done it either til 2 months ago!

If you go to the Fertillity Friend website and join up, (its free unless you want vip membership) they send you a course of emails I think about 15 or so over a couple of weeks. The emails tell you all the stuff about temping, CM and everything else youd want to know.

Then it gives you a calendar and each day you input your temperature. You have to take it as soon as you wake up, and at the exact same time every day. but FF explains all that type of thing. Then once you start in putting your temps in, FF draws a nice graph for you, and then works out for you when you ovulated.

I also buy cheap opk sticks, because they show when ovulation is approaching, whereas temping confirms it has happened. So I use them both together.

fingers crossed WTDN, colli and tinkwings (and anyone else waiting for either BFP or AF), we've had a good run of BFPs so far this month, no harm in having a few more!

I'm so busy at work at the moment, one of my major schemes has just started on site so got loads to sort out - gonna be v busy until the scheme finishes in March! But I am still keeping an eye on you all as much as I can

Off to cornwall for a week, on saturday - can't wait! The break away will be good for both of us, looking forward to just chilling out with a good book, going on walks etc.

Morning all,

Well I think I have a UTI (never had one before so not 100% sure) - off to the dr at 10.20. We didn't BD last night cos I was in too much pain, and I got a peak on CBFM this morning!:mad:

Moon was very sweet though, and went to Mr T on the way home from work and got me a carton of cranberry juice and the cystitis sachets, along with a bar of dark chocolate, milk chocolate and a raspberry swiss roll to make me feel better. I felt so bad I couldn't face any of them though.

Have had a few of the sachets now, and no real improvement, and woke up in the middle of the night burning up, so don't know if it's the possible infection or my cold that did that. Only an hour or so until I can find out though.

Hugs for anyone who wants or needs them.

I wish I could too, but it's not the right time just yet.

I think I ov'd yesterday, as it goes. Got into a 2 and a half hour work meeting, and suddenly got ov type pains! Oh yes, and went from very happy to 'stay out of my way!' moodwise. And today I'm feeling all 'meh'.

But of course, the IUD is still in there, so nothings gonna happen at the moment. *wishes she could win the lottery so she could buy a house and start trying right now*

Oh well, the Qi Kwan Do should cheer me up tonight. Hitting and kicking a punchbag usually does! :rotfl::rotfl:
