Mine too. Said he didnt believe in marriage. Then changed his mind about that..

then said he didnt want kids - I was ready to break up with him because that was a total deal breaker for me.

We stayed together, then years later decided to get married. And obviously now Im on here!

I think for him he literally just had to grow up! :)
This is pretty much how it was for us tbh. From day 1 he knew marriage and babies was on the cards. He didn't want to marry but said he would any way but never got round to propsing. 7 years down the line many heart to hearts I thought that was it. The words "I don't know why I don't want to marry you" are still ringing in my ears and I cried more tears than in my entire life I swear. I started looking for rooms and planning how to move out and what to do with all my stuff. Anyways I didn't move through very fast and he still kept saying he wanted to get married just didn't know when so I was convinced he was leading me on. At the same time I was clinging onto some hope as he would help with things like writing guest lists?! And colour schemes. I was doing this incase he changed his mind then we would action it right away before he changed it back again :rotfl:Some point he proposed eventually in the middle of the night - in the middle of love making with the moon shining down on us through the bedroom window. He acted well weird after LOL as he had scared himself silly doing it! It transpires he did want to but he didn't know how to do it. I'm a not a big baloons and whistles person but an email wouldn't cut it :rotfl:So it wasn't down on one knee or with a rose in hand but it was still romantic with the moon. That was April 2009 - September 2009 we got married! I spent 5 months planning the whole thing alone and nearly went mad lol :rotfl:

Anyone got any honeymoon pictures? :D We went to Antigua will dig some pics out later. x

Just a quickie as I've been lurking. Pages back someone was asking about depo and eggs.

Depo does supress ovulation so it would make sense that the eggs are still in there. My family planning nurse laughted when I suggested it but nothing I've read makes me think it can be otherwise.

I think it might explain why I get PG so quickly despite being 36 - I was on depo for 10 years or so, so my eggs, at least their amount, is the same as me being 26. Of course, I don;t know about their quality, but the eggs definitely don't go anywhere while you're on depo.
I think this is right. As when you think about it we are born with our eggs as baby girls. So they won't go any where but as you say quality may diminish though.

Sorry guys i'm post happy today!!

Okay, bit of a timid post from me as I'm scared to say it out loud - but BFP :D

Had a faint line on the internet cheapie so whipped out the CB digi before I could convince myself it was an evap, and there is is 'pregnant 1-2'. DH was with me when we found out, and the look of first shock then joy that crossed his face was priceless. My cat is already defensive about a newcomer as she sat on the digi and when I tried to get it off her she swiped at me! I don't believe it's true tbh, it's been 5 months since I had the implant out and I can't help thinking something is going to go wrong or this was all a dream.
    Congrats!!!! YAY!:T:D

    Hello ladies,

I'm hoping you can distract me this morning. I went to the doctors this morning as I've put on quite a bit of weight on my tummy (I'm normally quite small) and it looks and feels like I've swallowed a melon, its solid and I cant breathe it in, anyway the doctor was most confused and is sending me for an ultrasound scan. So I'm just feeling a bit worried, My OH is at work and is in the middle of a big project so he can't come home yet and my mum is on a business trip to Aberdeen (about three hours on the train).

Im actually feeling quite relieved that its not just all in my head, I thought I was just getting fat :( but maybe it could be why I've been getting my period so frequently? Anyway I just really need a distraction.

Hope you get everything sorted quickly so that you know what's going on. I think half the time it's the waiting that drives people mental as you can't help but think of all the possibilities (in varying degrees of seriousness). Hope if it is anything, it's something simple x x x

Emsbet, I am so very sorry to hear your sad news. I remember you from the pregnancy thread before I had to leave for similar reasons :(

Be very gentle and kind to yourself over the next few days as the pills take effect. I know no one can say anything which will make things feel better for you at the moment but I will be thinking of you over the next few days.

Emsbet, I'm so so sorry to hear your news. I hope you and DH are coping OK, and that this all happens relatively easily and it's over quickly for you. I can't imagine how you must be feeling, my thoughts are with the two of you. xx
