  • Funny you should ask that because on the way home from a hen night on Saturday night one of the questions we were pondering was what would we give up - cheese or chocolate? I lurve both too, but had to say chocolate. Just couldn't have jacket potato or pasta without cheese. :o I think my weakness is just food in general and not being able to stop when I am full!

DH is going to put batteries in the Wii board tomorrow and we might go on that tomorrow night. I could go walking at lunchtime easily, I am just lazy, so will attempt that this week too. :)

Think tonight I may just have a bath and go to bed with a cheesy DVD. :o

Awww Lily we sound so alike!! I saw Cheesy DVD and thought it was a new cheesy dish i should try then realised you were referring to a film!! :rotfl:

Right thats it then Lily lets moderate I am not going to give up cheese or chocolate as it will make me want it more but i will cut the bucketload i have on pasta down to a smaller amount and keep a choc as a weekend treat instead. I love satsumas and they are nearly in season so thats a good thing too!

I will pack my trainers in the car and change shoes at lunch to go for a 30 min brisk walk, then in for some soup! Will try out workout on wii or zumba wii / davina dvds this week, will try getting up earlier one day and doing it before work, and try doing it when i get home from work on another day to see which i prefer. Will also see if I get DH to go for a long woodland walk with me at the weekend as its something we used together and had the best conversations whilst strolling along!

Thanks for buddying up Lilly, it's given me some motivation and made me realise i'm not alone! plus will take my mind off the rest of my 2ww. :D

  • Caught up now, thank you everyone so much, each and every single congrats means so much to me :) esp as we are keeping it quiet for now,

QQ Emma's Diary says I am due 24 May but that Doctors work it out slightly differently so not sure....will feel much better after I have had an appt and seen someone properly.

I really want to tell my mum but I don't live anywhere near her and have a HUGE family where it is hard to keep a secret!!! So hoping to last a few more weeks and hopefully tell her in person. There has been a few, but not too many, MCs in our family unfortunately so I really don't want to tell people too soon but it is really hard :S

Nothing in the world makes me happier than walking in the woods on a winter Sunday morning (cold but sunny) with DH and the dog! Great for mind body and soul! :)

That made me giggle about the cheesy DVD! :T:rotfl:

I was thinking I'd take my walking shoes to work then can change into them at lunchtime. Great minds think alike. :D Better pack an anorak too the way this weather is going!

I have zumba for the wii too but haven't even tried it yet. :o Got that and Just Dance plus wii fit I can do.

Perhaps I will get DH to go to the park for a walk on Sunday too. :j

  • Congrats LegalBlonde - great news. Best wishes for the next 9 months.
Hugs to those that need them :) xx
Well that was a huge mistake! :(

Came home and did a test, which was negative. I know I've done it early and not at the right time of day, but get the feeling AF is coming later this week, so felt disappointed.

Literally 15 minutes later SIL rings DH and he says 'congratulations!' Yes, she's expecting her second baby. Great news, but I just felt gutted. :o

Sitting here with a big lump in my throat and trying not to cry.

Sorry to be on a downer ladies.

Oh Lily, sorry to hear that...same thing happened to me a few months back. Wasnt even trying but was a few days late (which is not like me normally) so wondered if I could possibly be pg and really excited that I could be... cue a test in the morning. BFN. Later in the afternoon AF came with full force so feeling pretty down as had built it up in my head. 30 mins later got a phonecall from SIL to announce her 2nd baby. :(
She's a few years younger than me and has fallen pg either month 1 or 2 of trying each time - totally pleased for her but absolutely jealous at same time. Had to disappear off to bathroom for a bit so OH didnt catch me having a little cry to myself.
Havent experienced it while I've actually been TTC but I imagine I'll be distraught if someone announces their news - I dont cope with these baby emotions very well... :o

I've been using the OPKS for the last few days - absolutely nothing Weds & Thurs, then a faint line showed on Friday. Was convinced that I would get a stronger line by yesterday at least but still showing the same faint line. Dont know if this is normal as this is first month i've used them - I know some people have said they never have a strong line.
Am just keeping up with the BD'ing just in case - am away with work Weds & Thurs so need to get a couple in before I go!!!

Sorry to hear you went through the same thing. :( I know I shouldn't get too upset about it as only just started trying, but think I'd convinced myself I was PG. Just feel like a bit of an idiot now. :o And I guess I'd imagined giving the family good news at Christmas time, but now it'll be her PG instead. Still, hopefully I'll have lost weight by then with some help from LittleMissGiggle and she'll be the size of a house... Sorry, that's an awful thing to say. :o:o:o

Not sure about the OPKs as haven't started using them yet, but am sure I soon will!
