Came home and did a test, which was negative. I know I've done it early and not at the right time of day, but get the feeling AF is coming later this week, so felt disappointed.
Literally 15 minutes later SIL rings DH and he says 'congratulations!' Yes, she's expecting her second baby. Great news, but I just felt gutted.
And someone at work chose to tell me she's expecting her second baby today too.
The words sods law come to mind...
Sitting here with a big lump in my throat and trying not to cry. Meeting my mum and MIL for lunch later in the week and I just know that subject is going to come up now, and don't know how I'm going to not get upset. DH is out at footie tonight, so was wondering about going round to my mum's and telling her that we are trying etc. Can't do any harm to have some extra support can it?
Sorry to be on a downer ladies.
Sorry to hear that my lovely :grouphug:
If you feel comfortable enought talking to your mum then do so...even now after 9 years of not leaving at home and 2 years of being married, nothing quite beats mummy cuddles, support and advice! Otherwise, offload on here (and have good old cup of tea...it sounds a bit cheesy but it never fails to make me feel that tiny bit better) xxMFW!

Thank you.
Just had a Smarties cookie and DH is off to make me a cuppa now.
Had a little cry after my earlier post. But feel a bit better now.
Not sure whether to tell my mum or not. Will think about it again after my cup of tea.0 -
Sorry to hear so many are feeling a bit blue today
I am feeling a little hopeless too.
I want to lose weight to help with TTC but it doesnt shift and motivation is low. I work long hours and am so tired what time i do have is spent DTD or doing housework etc....
I know everything I need to do... eat less, eat healthier and excercise lots more but for some reason I do not have the get up and go to do it!! I want to try lose 5% by christmas and I know this will help TTC but i just feel like crying as I'm destined to be a big elephant for ever.
So instead of feeling sorry for myself I am going to start a food diary and 30 mins of exercise 5 times a week for the next month just to see if I can start to see weight come off.
Does anyone have any tips on how to get up and exercise when you are so so tired?!!?
I know none of you will be the whale status I am but does anyone feel like being my buddy in this? If you get your BFP you can be granted a get out of jail card but would love someone to buddy up with?0 -

I'll buddy up with you LittleMissGiggle
I need to lose weight too by eating healthier and by exercising more. I have no idea how to get motivated though.
Use the stairs at work? Do some walking before work or at lunchtime? Do you have the Wii Fit? (I do, but rarely use it)

Hi LittleMissGiggle
I have been doing slimming world on and off for a while now - lost two and a half stone to date and aiming to lose another 2 and a half. I love slimming world as its so easy and can eat loads!
However best advice is to think of it in small little chunks - for example, cut down on one junk food item and eat salald instead of chips a couple of nights. If excersie scares you, a smaller 'chunk' would be signing up to do one class a week - I love aqua-aerobics and boxcerise. Small but meaningful changes...and if you aim for 1lb loss a week, you will have lost a stone by Xmas!

(((Hugs))) for lily, 2b, tinkwings, bigzippy and Rebekah! :grouphug:
Wow, it really has been a low couple of days for everyone hasn't it?
But on the upside, big congrats to LegalBlonde!! Hope you have a smooth pregnancy
I feel a bit better today, partly because DH brought back a mound of treats on Saturday (choc eclairs, icecream, milkshake, chips&cheese, AND a choc bar) and partly because I've now had my downer about the last cycle and am going to concentrate on being positive for this cycle instead!
Thanks for the advise QQ! I went to Boots and was about to buy their soy isoflavones when I realised they were £17 for 30 tabs! So I went round the corner to Holland & Barrett and discovered theirs is currently half price, £8.50 for 100. Much better! :money: Will cut back this month to just the soy for days 3-7, the folic acid and the vit B6. The reason I don't take the B100 complex is last time I did that I ended up with neon green wee, which aside from being freaky looking (for the 1st few days I thought I was radioactive like spiderman or something!:rotfl:) but when I mentioned it in passing to my doc at my smear test, she said I was obviously getting enough vitBs from my diet and that I shouldn't overdo it due to possible nerve damage. Taking vitB6 doesn't seem to give me neon wee though, so I think it's OK
Rebekah, I also get spotting from 5DPO onwards, I get it every month. I think mine is due to my PCOS though, something to do with the hormonal imbalance (I have high testosterone, low progesterone) and because I ov late the uterine lining struggles to stay on because it's older than it should be (2 weeks+ rather than 1 1/2 weeks). I'm concerned about it as well, but also about my 10 day LP, so will probably go hassle the dr about it once I've got another month charted to verify what my first month charting shows. Then it'll be harder for him to try to fob me off
Hope everyone feels better soon!

Thanks Lily, That would be lovely. I have so much to lose, but as other said just 1-2 lbs a week is a start. I'm going to start by going for a walk at lunch time instead of sitting at my desk for an hour eating unhelathy food!! Will have soup for lunch to warm me up when i get back and make up a fruit salad too and take some for snacking on instead of rubbish.
Will try do exercise dvd or wii fit for 30 mins every other day too.....
Do you have a weakness? Mine is cheese and chocolate!! :eek:0 -

Funny you should ask that because on the way home from a hen night on Saturday night one of the questions we were pondering was what would we give up - cheese or chocolate? I lurve both too, but had to say chocolate. Just couldn't have jacket potato or pasta without cheese.I think my weakness is just food in general and not being able to stop when I am full!
DH is going to put batteries in the Wii board tomorrow and we might go on that tomorrow night. I could go walking at lunchtime easily, I am just lazy, so will attempt that this week too.
Think tonight I may just have a bath and go to bed with a cheesy DVD.0
