Trying for a Baby Part 7

Quiet on here tonight ladies - are we all enjoying the closing ceremony? I was...until the talentless spawns of Satan themselves (One Direction) started 'singing'. Christ..I am close to turning it off.
I've been having loads of period pains all day so I'm guessing AF will arrive in 2 or 3 days...bang on time. I am about 100% sure there is some sort of problem that is preventing me getting pregnant. I hope it's fixable...but to be honest, now I have got that in my mind I don't feel disappointed knowing it won't happen without some help. AF arriving doesn't really bother me anymore. (I bet I come on here complaining in 3 days though...lolz)
DS has decided he isn't going to sleep yet and is busy shaking his head at the TV (I think he's trying to dance?!)
Elsie and TeamLowe - Big hugs. Keep the PMA up
COMP - Massive hugs to you too. I had a lot of early scans with DS including one at 5 weeks, another at 7 weeks, one at 10 weeks and then my 12 week dating scan (where I was actually dated to 13+1). Everything really is very small at that stage. You are a brilliant friend. Take care of yourself. Your friend will love you even more for what you have helped her go through. I am very pro-choice, but I was discussing your predicament with my OH and I told him that I wouldn't be able to end the pregnancy in that situation. If it meant the end of our marriage, so be it. Husbands can come and go, but my children will always be my children. Just my own personal feelings though and influenced very much by my personal experiences.
I feel a bit depressed now. I want to be pregnant again so muchMeh

Im watching it but I prefer to watch 'show' stuff rather than just music so now Im on here!
I dont mind One Directions songs, but certainly dont get the whole 'older' as in my age lol women fancying them!! They look like kids to me. And as me and my DH discussed, any guy wearing skinny skinny jeans, with bouffant hair and his top button done up is clearly not from our age range :rotfl:My DH would look like a complete prat if he wore that stuff! I also promised myself I would not go to bed late so I am recording it and will watch the rest tomorrow. I was hoping to see the Spice Girls before I went to bed but doesnt look like I will now.
Did the FS think that once you start ovulating with the help of clomid then you should be ok? Are they checking for anything else or did she think that was the problem? Hopefully that will sort it for you.
I can see why you would think that way re that situation with COMPs driend. After all if you are having an affair then perhaps your relationship probably wasnt that great in the first place anyway.0 -
Atton - We hired a village hall for our blessing reception they are really cheap to hire as our local scout huts etc etc. We did the food ourselves and had afternoon tea reception. Friends did the disco as a wedding pressie.
I made all the table stuff & we brought our own booze for the tables.
If you had your own hall u could do a bring you own bottle?
HUGS HUGS HUGS xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
^^this. It's hard work and takes a bit of imagination but there ways to make celebrating reeeeally cheap. Of course you could always ask OH's family for a contribution if they're so determined to have things done in a particular way :rotfl:I really hope you manage to get something sorted and that your special day goes ahead as planned - and that this is the beginning of even more good things for you and your OH.
Big hugs to all who need them; started cramping badly today so expecting AF soonOn the plus side, my wonderful MIL has agreed to clear our debts and let us repay her on an interest-free and low repayment rate basis (she didn't want paying back at all but I insisted on it, couldn't let her just clear them and get nothing back), which will save us a fortune and mean we're actually in a position to start saving for a house deposit and baby things - so the days of NTNP are limited and I will shortly be a fully-signed-up TTC lady :j

What a lovely MIL you have Amy! :T
CD2 for meStarted spotting and cramping on Saturday just in time for my friend's wedding, where there was a brand new baby girl and I was so sad that it should have been us there with a baby and I'm *still* not even a tiny bit PG!
I enjoyed the wedding though and drank lots of wine to make up for getting AF which turned up with a vengance yesterday! I know that the bride and groom are hoping for a honeymoon baby and whilst I'll be really happy if it happens for them I'm afraid that the green-eyed monster will rear its very ugly head!
Hugs for CD1 Elsie
Sleepy this morning. We stayed up to watch the closing ceremony which was great! Not quite sure how to get back to normal after 2 weeks of the Olympics; what did I used to do with my evenings before it all started, I can't even remember?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

I'm also very pro-choice and in this situation it was the right decision for her. I'm not entirely happy about hiding it from her husband (although I've not met him which makes it a tad easier for me!) but there's no way she could have continued with the pregnancy - neither her nor her husband have ever wanted kids.
I'm going to stop posting about this now - this isn't really the tread to be discussing this on as I don't want to upset / offend anyone who's TTCDon't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
COMP you are a legend doing that for your friend. Big hugs though for you having to go through all that as well.

Hi,
I've never posted on this board before and I'm hoping you can help put my mind at rest. My husband and I have only recently started trying for a baby (since June). I was due AF last Tuesday and it was a no show. Tested Weds and got a BFP. I was so happy and really never thought it would happen that quickly.
Anyway I was suffering with some very painful cramps followed by heavy bleeding on Saturday/Sunday. I am assuming this is an early mc. Can we TTC as soon as I feel less sore or should we wait? I'm worried that there is something wrong with me to cause the mc. I guess I just feel panicky about getting pregnant as I am 37 now.0
