Can anyone give me an idea of what my appointment with the FS will consist of on Tuesday? I'm quite nervous :S
Our first appointment was a chat, family histories, my cycle etc. By the time we saw a FS we were already pretty sure that mrh had a sperm issue, so it was mainly about him. The FS did a physical examination on mrh (he was wearing his new novelty valentines boxers-our appt was 14th Feb) and told us there and then what he thought the problem was but it would need to be confirmed by bloods. I had bloods done to check my ovarian reserve-the quantity of eggs I think that means, and mrh had loads of blood taken (about 8 wee vials) as they wanted to do lots of genetic screening and hormone stuff. The FS also talked us through our options (sperm retrieval and ICSI) and what we could have done on the NHS if necessary (nothing apart from the bloods) and recommended a local private clinic. (the one he works at!)
He also asked how long we had been together and why we were TTC.
It was quite daunting, but it was really relaxed and we had a lovely doctor. Mrh wasn't too chuffed at being groped a bit, but hey ho!
I hope your appointment goes well
Hope everyone is good, I'm still reading and lurking while we save up for our treatment, it has been put on hold a wee bit as mrh has to get some surgery on his knee in September0 -

~Thank you so much for this. It's been really helpful for me.
Unless OH has had a vasectomy in the last 6 months and not told me, it's fairly obvious the issues we have are with me so I suppose the appointment will reflect that. I did ask the receptionist if OH needed to come with me and was told it wasn't necessary. I guess I just need to explain everything that I know about my cycles so far and let the expert decide where to go from there. Maybe I will write some notes to take with me so I don't forget anything
I hope MrH knee surgery goes okay and good luck with your savings :A

Has anyone been watching the Olympics today? I just saw the TV interview Harry and William did with Sue Barker. I hate to admit it, but these games have really changed my mind about the Royals!14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Just reading up on ways to increase chances of implantation and found a brilliant one. Apparently drinking one glass of wine a night from 3-8dpo can help. :jEu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Hiya all,
Little bit gutted this evening. Have been feeling a bit sick the last couple of days (nausea) and then today on the way to work, I was sick twice before I even got to the bus stop (Sorry if TMI).
I figured that as AF should be due tomorrow/Sunday, I would POAS. BFN . . . it's my own fault for spending the day convincing myself it would be positive.
Sorry for the moan - hope everyone is ok xxx2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -

Have you ordered progesterone cream yet?
I know. I've been so good and felt really positive since getting our appointment (it's like 4 days away for christs sake...I need to chill). I don't know whats wrong with me
I got to the payment page with the progesterone cream then decided against it because I didn't want to mess with my prog levels for this cycle. My FS appointment is on suspected ovulation day (CD21) so I didn't want to put anything in my body that might any blood tests they do. I'm CD17 atm and have had RIDICULOUS amounts of ewcm for the last few days....but the lines on my CBFM sticks still havn't even begun to change and the readings are still 'low'. I don't think I have much chance of ov'ing early or even on time this month
It's really fkcuing annoying waiting so long to ovulate every month, then it being delayed further for some unknown reason (CD24 last month) then af arriving 8 or 9 days later. Knowing there is a problem when it has all be so easy before is so frustrating
Needhelp - Moan away, I'm having a good old whinge at the moment.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Needhelp could it maybe be too early to test?
Lily - very sensible. Hopefully they'll be able to help. I know exactly what you mean about the late ovulation. My cycles are so long that everyone else gets 2-3 more goes at it than me.
I think 2a ov d late when she got her BFP so there's still hope.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

That's the sort of advice I enjoy receiving lol :T
Lily and Needhelp, dodgy hugs all round :grouphug:, although hopefully in the case of Needhelp you're just testing too soonand Lily, Google is the snidiest, most negative friend a girl can have... ignore its naysaying and concentrate on the PMA (easy to say and hard to do
)
According to FF and my amateurish attempts at temping, I am currently 3DPO but not really sure how accurate that will be whilst I'm getting used to things and FF is adjusting to my erratic cycles  Hopefully I will soon become as expert as all of you lovely ladies.
Big hugs to those who need them

Heya girls, I need a bit of TMI advice here.
Went to visit my donor, but he didn't really produce much, and I was having a nightmare trying to get it into the syringe (really thick and lumpy). I added a little water which seemed to help, and managed to get it all in. Is this ok? Will water damage the sperm in any way? Should I use something else instead?
Also, when I removed the syringe after depositing the sperm, it sort of sucked it all back out again  is there anyway of making it stay in there short of leaving the syringe in for half an hour?
Sorry if this is all TMI but I have no idea who I can ask about these things :rotfl: I'm meeting him again tomorrow and Sunday, so hopefully todays disaster wont affect my chances too much.0
