Yes, think I will be patient and wait for next month. We have visitors for days 14-17 anyway which will make DTD awkward, so I should take that as a sign I suppose.

Bit scared of taking soy now! Also thinking I may have been wrong about late ov as I had been counting cd1 from my first day of spotting.... hmmm.....

CD1 for me today. Not heavy or anything but enough to need something in place so I guess that counts? Was expecting mega flow for my first one to expell the pregnancy lining but so far that's not happening.

Will give temping a go this month too. I have digi thermometer that does readings to 2 decimal places eg 37.56 but not sure if it is actually a basal thermometer. It will have to do for now!

Thats all you need - 2 decimal places.

I think its the temperature that is 'basal' not the thermometer.

Oh my God, I am never taking soy again. Had almost 2 weeks of ewcm and still not sure if I've actually ovd or not! DH was complaining about all the bding this month and I still dont think its going to work because who knows when i will actually ov if I do at all. I think maybe yesterday but i still have tiny amounts of ewcm going on so not sure. We couldnt dtd yesterday because of soreness and i am ridiculously tired today so if that stupid egg doesnt pop out soon all the swimmers will die and AF will come. Grrrr.

Sorry but that made me :rotfl:the way you wrote that.

2 weeks is a LOT! Surely you must be about to ov soon? And all these men complaining about BDing I dont know! Are you taking your temp so you know when youve ov?

That's lovely news, glad you are having a good time!

Codemonkey and I started soy this month and it's done nothing for either of us except produce an absolute mountain of ewcm. Not to put a downer on your experience - you may react much better to it! :o

Abis - I've been watching lots of the olympics too and I am loving it! We have had such a fricking fantastic day re-medals. Wehey! Go Team GB!

JoJo and Abis - I was told to wait to TTC after my daughters death for various reasons. Physical problems with my body and also numerous issues that were only identified with the pregnancy after I had delivered her. Did I wait? No. Did I fully understand the risks I was taking at the time? No. But would I have waited had I known? Probably not.
I have a lot of respect for both of you for having so much self discipline.

I should probably know this having had 2 children, but can someone explain to me how I can use my cervix to give me clues about where I am in my cycle? How am I supposed to, um, feel it? What am I looking for?

You feel it with your finger, I think its supposed to be high and soft when you ov?? And feel like a tip of your nose the rest of the time.

But Im sure theres a proper explanation on FF somewhere, I dont really know that much about it and havent really tried it, as taking my temp is so much easier and not subjective lol!

Becca - Glad you are enjoying your honeymoon

Lilymay - Theres some info on this page towards the bottom on cervix position http://charting-niamh.livejournal.com/542.html Its got pics on to give you an idea. Basically you stick yr finger really high up yr foof, like when yr being examined for labour. Its not particularly comfortable, but it should only take a few seconds. I guess after you have done it a few times you get to know the difference between soft & open and firm & closed. Its just like CM spotting is wierd to begin with, but soon becomes second nature.

I've only waited 3 months after the m/c. To be fair - it was soooo much harder waiting at the beginning of that than now. I found it incredibly hard that I should be getting a bump and instead I was having to use condoms to prevent the very thing I wanted. I've gotten my head round it now a lot more, and so am finding it a lot easier.

Jojo, If I were you I wouldn't take soy until you know your body better. Your cycles may have shifted around anyway since the mc, so you may be trying to medicate something that no longer needs medicating if you get me? And CD1 should always be full flow, so sounds like you may have counted it slightly wrong in the past? I'd just take folic acid and see what happens over the next 2-3 months with your cycles. Why not try NTNP this month? Saves using condoms and no pressure then if you do have visitors and aren't able to BD over the fertile period. Eases you back in to TTC gently

Forgot to say earlier I had a letter back today about the counselling I went to see the GP about. It went on about my mental health problems loads which kind of peed me off! I'm not a loon, they have worded it quite hmmm, well not as strongly as offensively but it didn't make me feel very nice about myself when all I did was ask for some help.

I don't feel as tho I need it so much at the moment. When I asked about it I was really struggling as my levels got closer to normal. Then, the levels rose and freaked me out big style while I fretted about treatment and chemo options. And now they're back to normal, I feel like that rise was just to kind of show me that I can cope, and things aren't all that bad after all. I feel ok at the moment. Obviously still sad that the baby died, but I can't change that. And I'm soooooo much happier now we are able to try again.

I think I might stay on the list for now tho, as there is a waiting list, and if I do find I need the counselling in the meantime then it'd be wise to stay on the list. I can always take myself off the list later on...

Abis - Thanks for the info!

Also, my ex is at the olympics with his volleyball team. I've just seen him on the TV! He is sat on a laptop to the side of court tapping away doing stats and stuff. Look out for him ;)

    Hi ladies!

Apologies I'm on my phone so can't reply to everyone individually (you're all so good at doing that!), I have read everyone's post tho.

Abis sorry to hear your letter peed you off, you would think they'd be sensitive and have a bit of cop on, glad you're feeling better now though.

LilyMay1 how's the ex looking on the telly?

Well I'm hoping that I'm going to Ov tomorrow if it hasn't already happened tonight, no temp shift yet. Got Ewcm though which I was very happy about and we have BD'd every night since CD8, I know we really should give it a rest every other day but I'm afraid that that will be the day I ov and that DH swimmers from the night before won't be alive - stupid I know!

Anyways, ni night, and it's Friday tomorrow, yippee!! :T

missmaid - hope you get that temp shift today :)
lilymay - is it weird seeing your ex on TV??
abis - sometimes I swear any 'medical' letters are written by the most insensitive people they can find! You sound incredibly strong and 'together' iyswim, I think you're handling things brilliantly.
JoJo - CD1 is the first day of proper red flow. I usually get a couple of days spotting beforehand which is really annoying as you know AF's coming so you just want to get on with CD1 lol.
becca - yay for florida!! Hope you're having an amazing time :):T

CD1 today, so that means a fun morning of trying to call the FS to make an appt. Fingers crossed I can get through ok, took me 3 days last time.

    Here's my PMA list:
    - I can start taking the clomid now, which combined with the metformin WILL give me strong, wonderful eggs :rotfl:
    - I can probably have a coffee without worrying about it
    - last cycle was only 33 days which is really good for me - and I only started metformin halfway through it
    - it proves to me that I can tell when I ov, as FF had me a few days later than I thought it was but I think I was right
    - it's friday.... which always helps!

    Happy Friday everyone! :j

Glad you're enjoying your honeymoon Becca! :) Hugs for AF arriving, shame the timing was all off, if you'd concieved over there you'd have had to call your baby Mickey/Minnie! ;)

Sorry to hear that the letter from your doctor was rude Abis, you'd think that they'd have the common sense to approach any kind of mental health issue with delicacy, especially when it comes from the grief that comes with a loss like yours and all you want is a little support. Contact your local MP and dob them in! I love sending complaint letters so that's what I'd do! :)

Got my blood test this morning, it's actually CD26 because I seem to have lost a day when I was working it out to book in (I did organise it on CD3 so I think I'm allowed a little confusion!) but I think it'll be OK as I reckon I OV'd a couple of days late this month. I'd love to ask the nurse loads of questions but I know that when I get in there my mind will just go blank! :o

I hope QQ's had a lovely time with her sister this week :)

    Hugs for CD1 Tealover :(
