I'm CD12 today. Normally ov between CD17-20. Didnt even get to try lunaception this month. It may only take one sperm but DH didnt get the chance to finish so unless there was a stray, I think I'm out.
I am quite sensitive to my hormones so I don't know if that has made any difference.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Last time I had a non-pregnancy related ultrasound the sonographer went through everything with me on the screen after she had had a look. Was very helpful.
Right ladies, can someone take a look at these (CD21) results and tell me what they indicate....
FSH level 3.9 u/L
LH level 9.3 u/L
prolactin level 267.4 mu/L
progesterone <1.2 nmol/L
testosterone 0.8 nmol/L
"If mid luteal phase, progesterone is not compatible with ovulation. "If ovulatory peak can be excluded raised LH suggests PCOS"
lilymay - my cd21 fsh and lh results were similar, at FSH 2.7 and LH 7.2, and my progesterone was 50. So my dr told me I'd ovulated according to my progesterone levels and that my FSH/LH ratio suggested mild PCOS (mild as I didnt have any other symptoms). That was why I had the pelvic ultrasound but the US came up clear, ie no sign of PCOS, thank goodness.
Has your doctor discussed the results with you? Were you temping that month and did you see a ov rise, or were your temps confusing? As according to what my dr told me about progesterone levels should be above 30 nmol/L to indicate ovulationWe got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

lilymay bit of info on prgesterone reading at cd21 from a fertility site, it also says there is no point of measuring lh and fsh at cd21 if ov has occured, so speak to your dr about that
(from here)
Day 21 Progesterone Measurement
The corpus luteum is the gland formed in the ovary from the ovulated follicle(s). It makes progesterone and and estradiol that is secreted in to the blood and causes the lining of the uterus to become secretory. Blood level of progesterone in the middle of the luteal phase > 30nmol/l suggest that the endometrial effect of the progesterone is likely to be sufficient to assist an embryo implanting in the uterus. This progesterone in the blood also feeds back to the pituitary to ensure that little FSH is produced. There is no value in measuring the hormones FSH, LH and E2 at the same time as a Day 21 progesterone because their interpretation is not of any value if the progesterone is raised, as it should be in the mid-luteal phase.
Why Day 21?
This day is chosen on the assumption that the women are having a 26-30 day cycle, and luteal phase is normal and lasts about 10-14 days after ovulation. Thus, assuming ovulation is between Days 12-16 , Day 21 is the middle of the luteal phase when the production of progesterone from the corpus luteum gland peaks in an ovulatory cycle (and if there was then pregnancy, the HCG would prevent the corpus luteum from then dying and it would produce even more progesterone). If ovulation has occurred later than Days 12 – 16, then the progesterone check would be better done a few days later so as to strike the middle of the luteal phase. Conversely, if ovulation has occurred earlier than Day 12, an earlier progesterone test at about Day 18 is required.
Progesterone levels should be interpreted with respect to the number of days before the onset of the next period. Luteal function ( and hence ovulation) cannot be assumed if the period starts < 5 days later or > 9 days after the blood test.
Possible interpretation of results assuming the test is properly timed are:
1. Progesterone > 30nmol/l – ovulation has occurred and the corpus luteum is producing sufficient progesterone to induce adequate secretory changes in the endometrium to assist implantation.
2. Progesterone 3-30 nmol/l – ovulation has occurred > 10 days ago or < 5 days ago, or if ovulation did occurr 5-10 days ago, the level is probably not adequate to sustain endometrial growth for satisfactory implantation.
3. Progesterone >120 nmol/l – two or more follicles have been recruited
4. Progesterone < 3nmol/l – no ovulation in previous 14 days.We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

As sure as I can be. Had all the usual ov symptoms, and 5 days of ewcm which has dried up now. I'm impressed but wish I'd waited this month.
I think I remember reading that the ladies who got their bfps didnt know when they're ov though so there's hope Lily.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Definately Blonde - sorry about the BFN. It's not over til AF appears though!
Apple pie - good luck for Monday.
I need you both for the July numbers!
Secrets - It's so hard isn't it when people just announce it. I am finding it increasingly hard to be happy for people who seem to have it easy! But I try to think that there are good and bad things in life. It's just that we are all SO focussed on this at the moment that we may be losing perspective...
(Please note, I am failing at doing this! I am super jealous all the time if I am honest.)
niknok: I hope you are right, but let me promise you that everyone on this board has been convinced many a time. But also lots of people do get pregnant every month, so fingers crossed!
Code: Good luck, hopefully you did manage to catch the right time. The OPK's for me tend to come up a bit early, so there could still be time.
AFM, nothing much going on. I thought I had a faint deep down crampy feeling which isn't a good sign as I normally get a solid 'twinge' one week before AF. But I've also been very sensitive to foods the last few weeks, so might just be that. B00bs are sensitive as normal pre AF too, but I am still hoping. I think I said, but I have quit drinking this month (and I probably drink too much normally) so I think there could be a few changes coming from that too.
On that note, what are people doing about alcohol while TTC? How much are you drinking/not drinking during your cycle?0 -
Oo checked out the rest of that fertility site and found this biological clock thing, its quite cool you put in your age and the number of months youve been trying and it gives you some info on when to start seeking help according to your age etc.
Its for people in new zealand but the info is probably still useful
