    Happy Friday everyone:wave:
    AF tomorrow:)

    Coops228, welcome:wave:
    There's quite a few of us over 40s here:D
TTC40, hugs for AF, but hope this cycle will be it:j
    smiley_hug.gif
How is the peppermint tea working?
And well done for not removing the plasters:cool:
lilymay, if you haven't ov'd then the results will be low progesterone:o I know you get +OPKs around CD21, but the blood test will confirm if OPKs are correct or not, so it's a good idea:)
codemonkey, trust your guts, go to the doctor if you think there is something wrong (((hugs))).
vesper, any piccie of your ferret?:)
    (((hugs))) for the adoption mess:(
nikolacarter, weeing in the night when you haven't drank much could be a pg symptom, but sleepless night could be caused by stress (even ttc stress), so try to forget about ttc for another week and let the BFP be a lovely surprise:)
    loulou, no ssing:naughty:
    abis, yay for the tlp!:j
It'll be BFN in no time:)
I know someone who had a molar for their 2nd child, but went on to have 2 healthy babies:)
mrsj28, looking at your chart it doesn't look as though you ov'd yet, good luck:o
    leopardlady, hugs for AF:(
    smiley_hug.gif
Birdie, good luck with choosing the right BC, looks like I won't ever need it:p

Not sure if the peppermint tea is doing anything - I would expect to be less swollen now anyway.

I feel better than yesterday in terms of the op so heading in the right direction.

Was hoping for a pain free AF, sadly not to be. Had bad pains last night & today. On the ibruprofen so hopefully will ease off. Very bright red, new blood (sorry if TMI).

Hugs for CD1 with you - will you be with OH when you ov this cycle?

CD1 is scheduled for tomorrow:) It comes 5 days after stopping the pill, so that's tomorrow.
I'm having a hormone test on Monday and we'll see from there.

Maybe IVF this cycle or I go back to DH and fingers crossed for ov when he's there. DH has work trips abroad a lot. If it's close then I may tag along:p

I'm considering ovarian drilling (via lap).
It's supposed to 'cure' PCOS for few months and produce better eggs:think: I do realise we still have sperm problem so we still need IVF, but better eggs?

I'll ask when I next see the FS on Monday:)

MrsJ - Hugs for performance anxiety. DH sometimes doesn't complete - but usually due to over-use around ov :rotfl::rotfl: Its not a problem at all at the mo due to not TTC, which is nice to just go back to enjoying it all and when we fancy it. Doesn't get you pregnant tho (well, it can obviously, but it doesn't give you your best chance). Mornings usually work a lot better for DH as he obv isn't as tired then, so I often used to try and take advantage of a morning quickie before. Tis more tricky for me, with DD, but she does go to her dads which gives us opportunity sometimes.

Also I sometimes dress up in something nice, or surprise him and seduce him when he isn't expecting it. Also I find that if we have more foreplay before hand, then completing isn't usually an issue as hes more than ready by that stage!!

I did try not to discuss ov time with DH in case it did put him off. One time he wasn't in the mood tho and I was ov'ing and I did break down and cry and say I couldn't do this without his sperm. Which was no doubt a huge turn on?!?! :o We did have a very awkward BD with neither of us really in the mood and he didn't complete anyways. :o So have definately not tried that again!! It is so hard to relax and not get upset tho if they aren't in the mood when we know its such a small window.

(((Hugs))) for CD1 leopardlady. Hope you enjoy your meal out

TTC40 - Hope you enjoyed accupuncture :j Hugs for feeling sore and crampy tho :(

Mogwai - Love that piccie! And so very true in our house too :D:rotfl:

Nikolacarter - I think its worth checking it with the docs still. I usually get pain while weeing with a urine infection too, but not always. The main thing is frequent feeling the need and sometimes little bits of wee escape as I can't get to the loo in time :o And when I do get there its only to do a little dribble. Tis not nice. I don't ever drink cranberry juice as I don't like it. With yr thighs, it sounds like you are doing more than enough anyways. I have large thighs being a hourglass shape, and I've just learnt to accept that they are never gonna be thin no matter how much weight I lose or how much I exercise.

Hugs for feeling emotional Codemonkey. Have you done a pregnancy test since your bleed? Just in case?

Blacksta - Concieve plus or pre-seed are gel type things that are generally inserted into the foof prior to DTD. Its meant to be a good environment for sperm to hang out in ready for meeting the egg. Its especially good for women with a shortage of EWCM or who don't get it for long every month. The reviews on amazon often say people get results on the first month - but that may just be co-incidence, ie they have been trying for 6months and then decided to try other things to help, but they may have fallen pregnant 'naturally' on the 7th month anyways... I never used it, cos I wouldn't like to faf around whilst in the moment already, but I think some ladies slip some in before they initiate any action and that would work.

Birdie - I'm having to use condoms at the mo as not allowed to get pregnant for a while, and they are rubbish! Not allowed to go on hormonal birth control as that might effect my results and / or promote regrowth of the molar. I keep wondering what I would like to be on after we get our baby too, cos I don't think I will go back on the pill either. I don't get bad cramping or hormone swings normally, so that part doesn't make much difference. But it took a few months to come out of my system last time, and I'd be quite keen for #3 (once we have the small matter of getting #2 out the way that is :o:rotfl:) so I wouldn't want to have to come off a hormone based contraception again. Keep thinking I will go and discuss with a family planning clinic at some point and go stock up on free condoms in the meantime too :p:cool:

QQ - Hoping next week its gonna be a BFN  Altho need to order some new tests in as have used all the leftover ones from TTC now... Aww, tis nice to know other people go on to have healthy pregnancies after this. I don't know anyone who has had it before. There is a molar support forum but its not that busy at all, and some peoples stories on there are quite scary as some people get it much worse than I appear to have had it (fingers crossed I continue to improve). Did you know the person well? Do you know if she stuck to the recommended waiting times?? I am trying to be patient about it all. While ever I'm above normal I know its out of the question, but I can defo see me getting a bit more impatient for TTC again once I am within the normal levels....

Sounds like you have a lot of decisions to make. Is the specialist really helpful or do they leave the decisions down to you. Haven't heard of ovarian drilling before. Sounds like that would be a good idea to improve egg quality if it can help with your PCO. Fingers crossed for the hormone tests.

abis - I thought about doing a test just to be sure but I used my last one. Waiting for some more ics to be delivered but DH complained about our post and now our postman hates us so it'll probably take ages to get here.

Have you ladies who don't want to go back on the pill considered natural family planning (NFP). It's essentially the same as we're doing now, only using a condom or abstaining during the fertile period. So TTC in reverse. It's success rates aren't that different to condoms.

Codemoney - Hope the postman doesn't bear a grudge :rotfl: Am sure they will arrive soon.

I wondered about the NFP method, but then knowing me I'd stuff it up and end up pregnant when we didn't actually want to be pregnant. At the moment I can't do that anyway, as cycles after a molar will be massively unpredictable. I haven't had AF yet, and its been 6 weeks since the mc/op. The nurse lady said my periods probably won't come back til my levels hit normal as my body is still thinking it is pregnant and therefore won't bleed. I thought I had EWCM tho the other day and my first thoughts were - what a waste of EWCM!! :rotfl: I wonder if I will ever look at my body in the same way since learning all these new things about it :rotfl:

I think they did, there's a bit of an age gap between No.1 and No.3.

FS is fine, but has firm views.

I think when I've had my baby we'll be having arguments about which BC to use. OH loves the docile, non-hormonal me that comes with being on the pill, but after noticing how my body should be working without the pill I'm loathe to go back to it! OH will just have to get used to the mood swings, and by all accounts if he thinks I'm bad now he's in for a treat when I get PG! ;)

I personally cant wait to get pg, have a baby and go back on the pill. I cant stand the spots! Luckily my periods havent been bad like I thought they would, but I cant plan them like I could on the pill.

Weve basically been doing that up until this next cycle as I couldnt get pg due to a new job. Its ended up with us hardly ever bding because I take so long to ovulate, but then you 'never know', so you end up not being able to bd, because you cant tell you are about to ovulate - I know you can do opks but theyre only 12-36 hours ahead and sperm can last for so much longer. So its kinda a contraceptive method in itself :rotfl:

If you had a regular cycle then I think it could work really well though, and/or you didnt mind not bding on certain days.

 Claire16c - are you ttc again yet, or waiting for next cycle? Must have been nice to have a break, and hope the new job is going well? Will be exciting to start ttc again!

Abis - thanks for the advice/support. I agree, breaking down and crying isn't the best turn on :rotfl:

QQ - I love the heart smilies on the charts, it's like us all dreaming about our babies :) :happyhear Hope your appointment on Monday goes well.

Talking of Conceive Plus - we used that for the first time the other day, and I didn't really like it, nor did DH! So annoying as I was looking forward to using it and hoping it would help!
