    Hi Starry :)

A perfect welcome post from MrsJ, but just to add - you're not allowed to 'ss' (symptom spot for pregnancy) or else QQuaver will tell you off :rotfl::rotfl:

Melon - We are all doing okay now thank you for asking. DS is out of hospital and so am I so we're on the mend.

QQ - When should I measure being DPO from? I noticed you've put me at 1 already, but I'm pretty sure I have actually ovulated today and will get my temp rise tomorow. So will I put 1DPO tomorrow, or 2DPO?
And so GOOD LUCK tomorrow :j:j:j
Also again - when can we stop BD'ing? I don't even want to sleep in the same bed as him this evening, let alone let him anywhere near me...

I want to punch my husband so very hard at the moment. He is such a be11end at times.:mad::mad::mad:

    Hi there,

New to this business, anyone mind if I join in too?

Mini history - OH and I got married end of April and basically waiting to see what happens from there on. I have to admit i'm a bit clueless as wanted to approach it with a 'lets see what happens' mind....however being a typical woman and slightly impatient I feel the need to speak to people in the same situation or I think I may drive myself nutty.

I'm sure hubby thinks i'm mad already and i'm trying not to bring it up in every conversation, lol! Am I the only one like this??

    Mrs L x

P.S using second username as some people know I post on here and obviously don't want the in's and outs of baby making progress...or not being known ;)

Hello! another newbie :) Welcome

Yes, we are all a bit mad and impatient and this is a great place to talk about it all without driving our OHs up the wall. If you can manage the relaxed approach for a while, that's brilliant, because TTC can be very stressful and take over your life (I'm guilty of this...).

Generally most couples (I think about 80%? am I making it up?) will get pregnant within the first year of trying. So, if time is on your side, then just enjoy lots of BDing (s e x). Do you mind if I ask how old you are?

For the less patient of us... (me)... we try to do some well timed BDing around the time when we ovulate. Generally you ovulate about 14 days before the start of your next period. So, if you have a regular 28 day cycle you can expect to OV (ovulate) around day 12 - 16. The three days before ovulation and the day of OV are the best days to BD to try and get pregnant! There are lots of ways of charting your cycle and working out when you are ovulating, but if you have a regular cycle and you and OH are willing and able to BD around the right times then you might be better off with the relaxed approach as it is less stressful.

Hope that helps - if you have any more specific questions, ask away!

Hope your time here will be short and sweet and you will get a BFP (big fat positive on a pregnancy test!) very soon :)

ETA - congratulations on getting married!!!

Thanks for the advice....i'm starting to get myself informed but find reading this thread great!

Of course I don't mind you asking, i'm 33 (34 little later this year). We'd like two so in my mind the sooner number 1 is on the way the better.

I need to look at my cycles as they change slightly month to month - always have AF (check me out with the abbreviations :p) each month but not always on the same cycle number of days wise. Hmmm, time to get the diary out me thinks ;)

    :welcome starry-eyed and mrsL! :j

I know what you mean about being impatient, ive been trying since feb 12 and it feels like forrreeevr!!

Nothing new for me, am just waiting for AF to finish so we can to some recreational BD! before 'business BD' starts next week! lol.. One of the reasons I want to get preggers asap is that I hate business BDing! I find it soo weird!

Am also getting my clearblue digi OPKs soon and conceive plus for this months attack plan (though may not need it as had a bumper crop of EWCM last month! sorry for tmi, lol)

Hope all is good for you guys!
We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic. ;)

God. Stressed out currently. I did a cheap pregnancy test and left it for an hour. I have a line. So got excited and did a digital but it is saying not pregnant.
not sure what is going on. Do you think it is an evaporation line?

Evaporation lines have no colour in them. Mine has colour, hasn't it?
