Glad the test went well tealover.

Sorry to bother you guys with another opk question but....I did one at 4pm today and it was negative. Did another just now to be sure and it's positive. Very, very, positive. its on the floor and I can see from here the test line is way darker. !!!!!!? Urine concentration isnt all that different. Anyone had this? is this normal? Should I just stop? Is it maybe the progesterone cream?

Tried to get DH in the mood to BD but he's not interested. Sigh

Welcome Abi. Good luck. Hope your body and husband are more co-operative than mine.

    Hi,

I am hoping you lovely ladies might be able to help me.....
It may seem a bit weird (having had 2 LO's) but I am confused as to the ovulation and fertilisation optimum time frame.

Both my LO's were conceived whilst using contraception so now we are planning to have our last addition to the family I just dont know which way is up.

I have sussed out that I am on the 13th day of my cycle and that I ovulate on the 14th day. This is from info I have gleaned through googling and tracking my temp (been preparing as best I can lol).

So am I right in thinking today is my most fertile day and I should be BDing?

Its all just a bit weird not being caught out. Am I on the right track or am I as lost as I feel?
    xx

    Hi Abi

Welcome, you'll get all your questions answered here (and some answers when you didn't know you had questions!)

I share your pain about being off the pill. Ibruprofen is my answer (that's the second time I've mentioned it tonight - honest, not addicted), ideally taken at the first sign of cramps. Personally I find if the pain gets a grip it can be with me all day.

Are you using ovulation tests or are you a bit more relaxed about it (or do you BD a lot anyway so slightly irrelevant)?

You're on the right track :) sperm can survive for up to a week but really five days, egg once released survives for 12-14 hours,so try to get a few days in before predicted Ov too. The NHS recommendation is BD every two to three days and a good plan of action is he Sperm Meets Egg Plan if you want to google that

Good luck, I'm sure you won't be with us long :) x x

I thought ibuprofen was a no-go during TTC? Or is that just around ovulation?

Good morning ladies (and gent) Welcome Abi :)

Why is it not Friday yet?! I just can't concentrate on work at all, just want to be at home this week! :o

I think I'm going to put a pin in it and say I'm 1DPO, had much more EWCM than usual. Who've thunk that I could've saved all that money I spent on supplements and reflexology, all I had to do was sleep with an eye mask on then take it off for a few nights! :p

I'm glad the Hycosy was OK Tealover! :)

    Morning ladies! Welcome Abi!

How is everyone today? Anyone got any news?

I'm feeling a bit impatient today, I hate waiting at the best of times. Also feeling a bit lonely as no one knows we're ttc so can't talk to anyone about it - other than on here.

Oh well, only 3 more days till I can POAS.

Birdie - According to FF, I'm 5 DPO! It put my lines on this morning? : S I'm fairly certain I haven't ov'ed though so going to ignore it.

So glad lunaception is working for so many people!

Tickle - Welcome. Let's hope you're stay is short and sweet :) Have you been charting your temps on fertilityfriend.com? If so, you can add the link to your chart on here and we can all view it and help out if there is anything you are unsure of (and be nosey:rotfl:)
I understand what you mean about having no idea about TTC - my DD was an accident, and my DS was conceived from us just BD'ing every day until I got a + test. No charting, no temping, no checking CM. I've only been using this thread for about 2 months but the ladies here are SO helpful and friendly and it is a real great place of support. I have endless amounts of (stupid) questions and someone will always help out if they can.
I try to ignore google because you can end up self-diagnosing all sorts of things and when it comes to TTC, no size fits all! My cycles changed so much after my last 2 pregnancies and I'm still trying to work things out.

I'm sure you know, your temp will jump up after you have ov'ed so that's a pretty good indicator. A lot of ladies on there use a Clearblue Fertility Monitor (CBFM) or Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests. I have a stock on cheap ovulation tests bought from ebay (OPK's - ovulation predictor kits) which are handy for backing up what my monitor says.

Anyway, that's enough rambling from me. DS is in nursery and I have the day off so I'm sat doing nothing. It's wonderful :T

Can anybody add to the final May tally this month?

If your wife's moods are anything like mine at ovulation you wouldn't wish that for long! :rotfl:
