He did try to show me the screen at the point where the dye went through but I had my eyes closed as that's when it hurt! But I am a big wuss :rotfl:

He talked me through it all at the time, and said it was all looking ok etc. Then I got dressed and he came back to talk to me and explained the results and what would happen next.

My OH felt bad too but it's just not always possible to both get time off work is it. There's a lot of appts in fertility treatment! Am more worried about all the time off work than the actual tests and things so far. I did worry a bit about getting bad news on my own but my OH doesn't take any of it in at the time anyway, so I always end up explaining it to him later.

I told myself that blocked tubes just means a different plan of attack. So it wouldn't have been bad news as such, just that we needed a plan B. If that makes sense.

QQ, only SSing for AF! i'll be so pleased to see her, ironically, i just want a normal cycle

thanks for all your help tea lover, it's put my mind at rest :) i'm a natural born worrier and am overthinking the test totally, so you've made it seem like it's really routine, which helps if you get me. i don't think i know anyone in real life who's had one before so don't have anyone to talk to really, there's only 3 of my friend who want babies and they all have them :( x x

It was all going ok, then I got a parking ticket  I don't know if anyone else has experienced trying to park at Walsgrave in Cov but it's a nightmare. It's always on the news about how bad it is. Got there an hour early and spent 40 mins driving round car parks then just couldn't leave it any longer. Parked totally out the way down a side road, with lots of other cars. Should I known I wouldn't get away with it.

    Such is life :rotfl:

I had to go there last year to have my bits and pieces checked to make sure everything was ok.
I couldn't find a space so parked in a local road to call the reception to tell them. They were ok with me being late and told me to get there as soon as I could.

It just meant that I was sat around for ages whilst they fitted me in with other appointments that were after my time.

I've ended up in the Tesco car park down the road before now. Would have done that this morning but it's a bit of a walk and as I wasn't even supposed to drive home I didn't dare park too far away. It never fails to amaze me just how bad the parking is there. The place has only been open a few years!

teamlowe - I know what you mean about overthinking. I think that's natural, we're bound to worry about having something done we have no experience of. I don't know anyone IRL with experience of this, so it's great to have you lot to 'chat' to. Most of my local friends are a couple of years older and started their families much younger, so a lot of them have older kids. Makes me feel even more behind.

Am back, and just in time for Bargain Hunt:D I love 'working' from home lol.

They did the hycosy and my tubes are good :j My ovaries are a different story thought, cysts all over the place. Dr said next step will be clomid, so long as OH's SA results are ok. We've got an appt on 11th july. All of our other test results should be in by then so if it's all ok he said he'll start the clomid then.

Glad you got some answers straight away (and your tubes are good). I paid £444 for the HSG - hope the parking ticket was cheaper!

Tea lover i hope it goes well today, and that they give you a plan of action whatever the result
let me know if it hurts too! lol

I'm taking my mum with me for mine and it's in Prescot of all places so i've no idea where it is and i can't drive for an hour afterwards so i hope they have a cafe, unless i can persuade my mum to be confident enough to drive my car

I took two paracetamol & two ibruprofen about an hour before I went (it's fine to take both). Personally I didn't find it any worse than a smear. Clearly it wasn't fun but I wouldn't worry if they told me I needed to have it done again. They hadn't told me not to drive (& it didn't cross my mind). I went on my own & drove back to work about 10 minutes after it was done.

TMI alert - what goes up, must come down! So there will be a discharge of the clear liquid afterwards so have a couple of sanitary towels with you.

Using an A.I because my family all know my username and would rather keep this secret!

Came off the pill end of April and started trying from then. Just got my first proper period in 10years and now on cd3.
Not finding being off the pill fun though!

Looking forward to joining you all in real life and not just stalking in secret!
