Right guys, I'm looking on Ebay for cheap ovulation tests. We BD every day anyway, but to know exactly when I ovulated would help me. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Trying to be MSE about it :)

    I bought these ones x

  • Thanks Aida. I've had the progesterone test, get results this week, guess it's playing on my mind and am a bit impatient!
Thanks for the lunaception info, sounds interesting, never heard of it before.

    Congratulations aida, to all

Thanks for your responses to me, re my MIL situation. She's still (surprisingly, we thought she'd gone, midweek) hanging on, but not particularly suffering or in a lot of pain, which is good/important to us.

I said to her today that I was just sorry we'd not managed to give her any grandchildren.:( She said "don't you worry about a thing, you've been the best wife MrBZ could ever ever have. You'll have them eventually, I'll send my rays down!":A I asked her what names she was considering if MrBZ was a girl, and she told me, and then said "but you choose the names you like!". I told her the legend of Nana BZ will live on :A:o I'll/we'll miss her so much

Fwiw Aida a google stat I found ages ago said the chance of 2 mcs in a row is 2% and when I had mine the nurse said that your first pregnancy is sometimes such a shock to the system at our body doesn't know how to cope and that it'll know better next time round x x

That's so reassuring TeamLove. Thank you for that having 98% chance is more than enough for me :).

...everything I've mentioned so far about ttc supplements etc DH has thought I was mental for trying as he's a strong believer in letting nature take its course and being relaxed etc.
Thought I'd get the same reaction when I mentioned the lunaception thing, especially as I added 'that's what they do with chickens' and he's said we should both get masks as apparently that's how you're meant to sleep anyway! Might give it a go then, our bedroom is east facing so there'll be no issues with light for Ov x x
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'm glad that your OH agreed with that. You will have some very vivd dreams, when you'll start sleeping in the dark but it will get better with time.

Finger crossed for the results. Was is a day 21 progesterone test?

BZ - so glad you got to have that lovely chat with your mil, and I do hope you can take comfort from what she said to you.

Afm - cd7 and low on cbfm. Over weekend my face had been hot and itchy and has slowly been coming out in blisters. First they were under my chin, then yesterday they were also around my eyes and this morning they are around my mouth. Going to phone doctors when they open to see if I can see a doctor or nurse as have taken puriton over the weekend but still getting worse.

Hugs to all who need them and good luck Skintchick if you test today.

Can I knock on the door and quietly walk in? New to the forum and not completely sure how it works.
    Congratulations Aida. That's fantastic news.
    Good luck tomorrow skintchick.
Been TTC for three months now. Really difficult as OH works away quite a bit so struggle with timing IYSWIM. Thought I'd got the timing right this month but I'm getting those familiar feelings. My cycle seems to have changed from 28 to 24 days though so I might be out by a bit. I'll find out by the end of this coming week.

Welcome. As others have said, it's worth using ovulation predictor kits to narrow down the window of well timed s*x. You will find out loads of advice on this thread - ask whatever you like.

Ooh. Do you think it's an allergy/ reaction or could it be cold sores? I seem to have had a breakout this weekend too (not that I think we can have infected each other over the forum!) OH said said something about my 'facial blemishes', yesterday - he knows how to make me feel good! I replied that I was planning DTD last night & he wouldn't want to do that with someone with facial blemishes - he soon retracted his comment!

Ov expected this week. Going to be challenging to get well timed DTD as one of us is out / away every night until Sunday. Got a colleague staying mid week - lucky that the bedroom walls are not next to each other. Ahem! OH said 'we'll have to be quiet' - I didn't actually think we were noisey.
