Thinking of you and your family Birdie x

Glad MIL's procedure went well QQ

FF has removed my crosshairs after a temp dip this morning and I've had yukky ov pains today, a bit strange as I also had ov pains on Monday-given my stress levels over the last couple of weeks it's no surprise that my body has given up on me!

Hi, tend to lurk on here a lot, but feeling really in need of some sympathy tonight. Had 1st baby same time as my best friend and just found out she's expecting baby no 2. Feeling incredibly jealous as it's just not working for us (two miscarriages) :( just in need of someone telling me I'm not evil or crazy, and OH at work so he can't do it :(

fannyanna - glad you've had your results, I was in the same position as you a week or so ago. They said I was fine to get pregnant but if I'm pregnant at the time of my check up colposcopy in 6 months they will just have a look at my cervix and won't touch it. Smears every year for the next 10 years for me :(

Still haven't ovulated, don't think I have or will
  • For those of you who have not had a smear, get an appointment with the practice nurse at your surgery and get it done, so important. I have mine booked for next week thanks to my little reminder letter.
Sorry that bit was the health care professional in me, can't help it!
The "real life" side of me has let the healthy eating / exercise part of life slip - this week I seem to have replaced "running" with "chocolate". Must get back on track....maybe after the weekend!

Sorry for your losses baby monster. You aren't either evil or crazy, it's hard to forget your own experiences when you see others with what you hope to have. How old is your first baby, and how long have you been trying for a brother or sister?

It's starting to hit me lately that this may not happen at all. Am used to being in control, and being able to get what I want through hard work, patience or pleading lol. I hate feeling this out of control.[/QUOTE]

    I TOTALLY get that feeling!

The only thing I'd say is that now I have a job I love when I do get down about not being pg yet I do manage to pick myself up quite quick by being so happy in the rest of my life i.e. hubby and family and work. FWIW - I reckon aim for what'll make you happiest and what'll be will be.

Primmer - that sounds like a gorgeous weekend away.

I plan to read my book late into the night tonight, I started it last night and it's a good un. I've been know to read through the night to finish a good book and now I don't gave to get up for work in the morning:j Then I've booked a last minute massage for tomorrow. Saturday I'll spend prepping for Sunday lunch as i've got everyone over for lunch. (anyone think it's wrong to do a MAHOOSIVE chocolate mousse for pudd?) Monday will be all about the house, finally getting on with choosing some new bits and bobs for the house.

I am SO looking forwards to the weekend! Hope everyone is having a good one too.

Babymonster welcome, post on here whenever you want, there's lots of us that have similar thoughts. Hopefully it won't be too long before you get number 2.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Babymonster I feel like that too. We started trying for a sibling for DD (2) over a year ago now, and we have also had two mcs in that time (and I had one before DD as well) meanwhile friends are having babies left right and centre! It is very hard. Today I cuddled my friend's two-week-old baby and I couldn't help thinking that I wanted that so much for myself. It is normal to have these thoughts, I find that allowing myself that, telling myself it is OK to feel how I feel, helps it be easier somehow. Don;t deny how you are feeling, it is fine to be jealous and sad, as long as you also try to be happy for them at the same time.
