There has been a study in which pregnacare preconception vitamins where shown to help women on fertility treatment conceive and helped prevent them miscarrying. I have no idea how to post links on the iPad but if you google them there's definitely a link in the boots website when you try to buy them.

I take them as I found them on 3 for 2 and felt like treating myself, how sad is that? Lol x x

I take pregnacare as well. Tesco has them on 3 for 2 and it costs around £7.5 a pack, so not that bad for a 3 months supply.

TeamLowe is this the article that are you talking about? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2068908/Could-simple-pill-costing-30p-day-answer-getting-pregnant.html

8DPO here and my temp is up again today hurray :j. Hope it will stay like that for a long time but if not, I would not be too bother as my plan is to get pregnant by the end of this year. I do realised that getting pregnant is not that easy but that doesn't stop me to hope :D.

Betty - I used to take normal folic acid tablets from asda (cheap ones) but they ran out so I too "treated" myself to the pregnacare conception tablets this month.

Don't think they will make much difference, but maybe they have a placebo effect :rotfl:

DH is also taking wellman this month, which has zinc and other vitamins to increase his boys mobility and numbers apparently.

We too got them on 3 for 2 from boots, altho I checked in tescos and they also have 3 for 2 offers and are slightly cheaper in there.

I think folic acid is plenty - especially for not NTNP.

I came off the pill at the end of October, and I think my body is still adjusting. Some people do get pregnany straight away (I did with DD when I came off the pill) but sometimes the hormones stay in your system for up to 6 months. My cycles aren't regular yet, so I think that I am still settling after coming off it.

  • Morning ladies :)

Betty I used pregnacare until now, just swapped to boots conception support and got OH wellman for his swimmers. I came off pill at Christmas and started taking pregnacare straight away as I have a mild form of spina bifida but my doc said its important to get folic acid only :)

I use pregnacare too, I actually got 6 months supply for £13 when Boots had his glitch. I usually buy it 3 for 2 or 3 for £10. Amazon also has sometimes good deals on pregnacare, it's worth watching it regularly.

AMH tests have come back and it is still in the normal range, phew. There are a number of different tests and scales they use, but the one they did for me, normal is apparently anywhere between 5 and 19, and my result came in around 7.9. So towards the low end of normal, but thats not all that surprising at 43, and at least it is still in the ok range.
  • Hello ladies,

Thanks for all your kind wishes :) I made my OH breakfast and told him I had a present for him and to put out his hand. I just put a single grain of sugar on his palm and he said oooh, thanks! and then I told him it was about the same size as our baby was just now. There were alot of tears from both of us.

(((hugs))) for AF and to anyone that needs one, I will be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you all. I just wanted to say thankyou for all the help and support - this thread is really lovely and some of you ladies are truly amazing

    Ahh, lemonmelon, that is lovely!

I just had my acupuncture session, it was really great. I felt so relaxed, like never before. I'm having the second one next Sat, ovulation should occur the following Monday. Not sure who was interested before, I did mine at a local chinese shop (London, close to Elephant&castle), the lady is a qualified doctor and also registered with the governing body to do acupuncture and reflexology. We could actually use our BUPA care and will get back £100 (paid £200 for 10 sessions, it was on offer, normal price is £300 for 100, so all in all it came out as £10 per session).
