I think AF is on the way. No spotting yet but it just feels like it's coming. CD34 today, would usually turn up anytime from now till about CD49. Looks like it just may not have been our month, again.

BFN for me today at 11 dpo with FRER and still spotting. That combined with the fact that I didn't get a peak on CBFM this month makes me think I'm out this month icon_sad.gif Still have quite a few symptoms but I think they are fake ones. FF is giving me 54 points.

If I called Saturday CD1, I'd be due to ovulate this month around Valentines Day I think, so maybe fingers crossed for a Valentines baby. But it wouldn't then be due until after my birthday which would mean I'd be 44, and that feels very old to be having another child icon_sad.gif

Still not sure whether I am in a new cycle yet though, just waiting to see if I get a full flow AF. Please don't change the list for me yet QQ

Hugs nicki. It's the waiting thats the hard bit I find. If i knew I was out for sure this month I could just get on with looking forwards to the next cycle!

We're having a major day at work business planning and it's really hard not to take potential children into account. The family (it's a family business) must guess we're trying but we're the kind of family that never talk about stuff like that so they're talking as if we're not going to have a baby to look after this time next year - arghhh!

Well 2 BFN's for me this morning. :o

Got woken up at 4am by the cat scratching lots on the carpet and got up to see what was going on, and she'd done a massive wee in my DD's room (which had a brand new carpet on at christmas :() The vet had said when he examined her on monday that she had a very full bladder, and we have been on wee watch but nothing had happened. She went back to the vets yesterday and we mentioned she still hadn't wee'd but he said not to worry - she would when she was ready. Shes never had an accident before. She prefers to go outside, but will go in her litter tray if necessary. Vet advised us not to put her out for a couple of days even tho she has been asking to go out. So I am now back to being worried about her again :o Can only think the infection and high temperatures was to do with her bladder or something? And now I am wondering whether to let her go out next time she asks cos I don't want lots of accidents. You could tell she was very sorry bless her. She kept going back and trying to scratch it away and then when I had cleaned it she then just kept looking at it sadly. :(

So anyways, after that drama I needed a wee myself and was worried I wouldn't need another one when I got up (ok ok, maybe I was just a bit impatient!) so I did the asda test and got a BFN.

And then when I got up at 7.30 I did an internet cheapie for another BFN (figured they were meant to be able to be tested earlier so it might have showed up positive :o)

    Think I need a wagging finger! :o

On the other hand - still no AF. 4 days late now. And I didn't test positive for ages with DD (but I had come off the pill and not had a natural period so it was hard to tell whether I was just late starting a period or pregnant). So part of me thinks I must be pregnant and that I will just test positive in a few more days. But then part of me thinks its the stresses of the past few days which are delaying AF and I am gonna be more devestated than ever when she does show up :o

Tea lover & Nicki - lets hope we are all still in with a chance this month. I think I would just rather get on with AF now if I'm not in with a chance tho so I can start again. Do NOT like this waiting stage at all :(

Hehe, Sammy girl - its ever so sweet. She writes me little notes and things too. The slinky looked more like a caterpillar or centipede, but it was mostly disney themed so I maybe should have got it. Can't remember how to upload a photo cos I'll put a couple of them on if anyone wants to see? How old is you DD now?

Hugs for the BFNs, hope that they'll turn into BFPs in a couple of days! :) I half want to test but scared of a BFN so putting it off! Yesterday OH told me not to get my hopes up too much as he doesn't want to deal with the mental breakdown when I'm not PG, but I can't help but be hopeful, I'm a glass half full type! :o

Your poor kitty Abi, hope she feels better soon. Bless her for feeling so bad about the accident though. :o

I think you're right about not separating babies from their Mums Skintchick. We don't have any babies in our group of friends so I think that the B&G just don't realise how much your life changes when you have a LO and that you can't just dump a young baby on relatives for a weekend to go and get !!!!!!. I hope that once we have a baby and they see what it is like they'll be more understanding, I will take Kavics' advice about inquiring about a babysitter though, even if it is just for a couple of hours (and I'll probably be popping up to see the LO every 30 mins!). If she is a btch about it then OH can go on his own and I'll stay home and torture the groom about the fact that his best friend's wife and child were excluded from his wedding for the rest of his life! ;)

(((Hugs))) Nicki and Abis for the BFNs, hope they're just shy BFPs. :o

I'm due tomorrow, still spotting and it's getting worse so I'm not holding my breath. But am totally proud of myself for not POAS yet, had to rush to the loo and pee really quickly this morning and yesterday to stop myself from early testing. Partly because I ended up using 6 tests last month with 6 lots of disappointment. May have to move my testing day to tomorrow instead of Friday though, I honestly don't think I will be able to stop myself given that FF will be telling me it's OK to POAS on the day AF is due, even if that's only 11DPO!

Fingers crossed for everyone else testing over the next few days, and Valentines! Good luck ;)

  • BZ - sorry to hear about your MIL :(

tea lover, nicki, scarly, abis21 and Birdie85 – hope AF stays away for you all.

I've been watching Protecting Our Children too, it's so sad. I think last week's was even more shocking, maybe because the little boy was older and you could see what effect the parents had had on him. :( Has anyone been watching Call the Midwife?

Think I might have to go and see the doctor as I've had a dull ache on my left-hand side since last Tuesday. I think it is around the area of the ovary, although guess it may not be a problem with that. Probably best to get it checked out either way. Not sure if it has happened other months or not :o but have noticed it this time as I am noticing every little thing that seems to be happening at the moment due to TTC.

Feel really fed up this morning as my IBS is playing me up too at the moment. :( Oh well, that's enough feeling sorry for myself for one day! :o

Hope everyone has a good day.

boo to the BFNs and all other reasons to feel poo!

Abis, kept meaning to say about your cat, i hope she's better soon!
when my little boy was ill with cystitis (which is deadly to boy cats as it can block their bladder, which he got a couple of times) he was peeing all over the shop! was hard to be annoyed as obviously he was ill and couldn't control it. we just had to grit our teeth and bear it and bulk buy the cleaning spray :p
just wondering if she's on any medication? he was on steroid and apparently they make animals want to urinate a lot and sometimes they just can't control it as well as they should :o glad to hear she's feeling better though, i'm sure it'll just be a one off grump about not being able to go outside, you know how prissy cats can get about their routine!

nothing much happening here. had a couple of fights with DH over nonsense but really it's because he's changing teams after our week off and he's upset about that (he's never been diagnosed but i swear if you read the characteristics of Asperger's he has it). but he's had a talk with his boss and he's happier about it all now so i should have a happy bunny again at home.

Just run our figures through my highly scientific excel spreadsheet method and found that our debts will be gone within 2 months and we can save a house deposit in 9 months if we put every penny aside. so that helps me to relax a little about ttc in a funny way, as every month with two full wages is more money in the bank, especially as we have more than my wage 'spare' each month. just what we've been doing with it up until now i've no idea, although my BMI being over 35 may give a clue :rotfl:

Husband says he'll go to a showhome with me at the weekend so we can have more of a visualisation of what we could achieve if we saved, and also to look at this FirstBuy scheme, so how it would look for us x x

spotting is a bit heavier now, so I have bitten the bullet and told FF that I am CD1. icon_sad.gif Really thought this might have been our month, but symptom spotting is the devil's work.

OH is away until Saturday so hopefully AF will have bogged off by then. Am going to start temping again I think. My luteal phase was so much shorter this month, that despite positive OPK I think this must have been an anovulatory cycle, which is possibly not surprising given how stressful the first week was. Will also give AC a try properly I think. Not sure whether I will bother with CBFM though. Have a few days to decide I guess.
