Afternoon all! Hugs to all - whether you need them or not! Why you may ask am I hugging random people on an internet forum. Well, I'll tell you - it's cos I am happy! Last week was one of the worst in my life. Won't go into details but it's over now. AF was due yesterday but thought the stress from last week had delayed things. I had an odd notion last week but I know QQ wags the finger at odd notions so i ignored it!

But it's very hard to ignore a stick dipped in wee that tells you your life is about to change in big bold positive letters! Am sitting here trying not to think too far ahead but is it ok to be a teensy bit excited for a while?

you're allowed to be excited with us, we won't tell! :rotfl:
congratulations seem to be in order :j:j:j

Thanks! Have had one MMC before hence the trying not to think about it. Showed our DS the CB test last night and told him that it meant his life as he knew was about to change. Obviously he didn't understand that but cried when i wouldn't let him play with the stick!

LittleMoog - 5 litres!!!!!?? I'm doing well if I remember to drink anywhere near 2!!!! Hope it clears up soon!

I know! I've just worked out that it's 10.5 pints :eek:I've just been to tescos and bought real ribena (sugar free) as it's on offer, and it's one of the only things I could drink that much of! We don't normally have it as it's so expensive and we finish it so quickly compared to regular squash. Also bought grapes, chocolate milkshake and some dairy milk in an attempt to make myself feel better. :o

Edit: Huge congrats Nephthys! Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for you this time :)

I can totally understand that, i'm totally scared of it happening again and i've not even got a sniff of a positive!
plus, the stats say the chance of two mc in a row is 2.25% so incredibly small!
Here's hoping for a happy and healthy 9 months for you x x

    Congratulations Nephthys!

Birdie, sorry that you felt teary, hope you are ok now. Had a look at QQ's list, have you ovulated yet?

LittleMoog, 5 litres??? Isn't that a borderline water poisoning? Seems a lot!

Does anyone have any book recommendations? I got Zita West's book about conceiving from library but wondering if there is a better one. Thanks

just back from GPs apparently it's not a chest infection, but a croup style cough. should clear up in 4-5 days and I've been advised to drink 5 litres of fluid a day to help mobilise the phlegm (lovely!) think that puts the kybosh on any more opks this month! :rotfl: Expecting to ov this week, unless it's delayed by being ill, so will have to go by cm and temps if they settle down. not that I really feel up to BDing anyway, but I feel like we ought to make an effort! :o

That sounds like a crazy amout of water?

I think if it was me Id jsut try to drinks lots, and of course take some of that guanefisin or however its spelt cough mixture to help with ewcm! At least youd actually be taking it for the right reasons other thank the rest of us just swigging it for ttc purposes! I bought some at the weekend to try in either this or the next cycle (depending if I get the job ive applied for not).

Its weird, re opks, I find that when I get a positive, it comes up however diluted it is. But of course different for everyone.

    Thanks all!

Birdie - hope you are feeling a bit better. It's horrible when people who should know better make silly comments. Hugs for you.

Secrets - I must admit to almost spitting my tea over the keyboard when reading the bit about the pub. It made me laugh at a time when i needed to. thank you for that!

BZ - hope the bleeding has settled down now for you and you feel a bit better.

I have missed out so many of you but I will read back properly later when i get a chance.
