Trying for a Baby Part 7

  • Claire, I read the article about Beyonce, it's so true that you don't know what someone has gone through in their journey to have a baby. I remember at a friends wedding in 2009 asking a couple if hey had children. A few months later the friend who's wedding it was told some of us that this couple had just had a failed round of IVF, they're in their late 20's and that the wife had gone through the menopause at 22!

Since then I've completely stopped idly asking people if they have family, when they're going to try for family etc. I figure if they want you to know they'll tell you. I've also been with my best friend (who had a stillborn baby girl) when she's met someone she hasn't seen for a while and they're full of questions rather than just saying they are sorry to hear what happened and letting her tell them as much as she feels able to/ wants to on that particular day.

I know some people are very open when they suffer a loss and I suppose with miscarriage etc that's good in a way as it highlights the issue and doesn't shut it away which can be the hardest thing for those who have suffered a loss.

Anyway, am chuffed for Beyonce and her family. Has anyone else listened to the song on YouTube? It's fab but if you're hormonal or just a wimp like me you may need tissues!!

Just got kicked off net and when I signed back on and refreshed I can see a BFP congrats!!

    Congratulations Kittycat 1977!!

Don't want to be too premature or presumptuous but I have a feeling I am going to get a phone call later telling me my big sis is preg!! Too long/ boring a story to go into if she's not but will report back!

  • Candy- grrr at the self important snooty receptionist who clearly has to patronise patients to put a bit of excitement in her day!!

It was an important question, I'd have checked!!

I'll try and let my anger on your behalf override my jealousy at your amazing sounding holiday!!!

    Possible Hypothetical question.
If someone was to have a tlp or dark eval line how soon can they do a clearblue? would it have to be fmu the next day or can it be done later and still be accurate?

    Hello everyone:wave:
Sorry for being MIA yesterday, had to go to the hospital for MIL, she is still undecided whether to do the heart op or not:o

Sexymouse, thank you for the lists:wave:
    :rotfl:at the sperm donor volunteering:D
    Mishka, how are you?
Gorky, how is your cross stitch going? What does it look like?
I did one of our parents house once, it was very enjoyable, but haven't done any more since:o
cleofish, African dance or not, no SSing:naughty:
    Kittycat, congratulations!!!
I think operation CC has gone well, and we are on schedule for a bumper month:)
Birdie, DH had an hernia op when he was very young, and seems that was the cause for his very low count and high number of abnormal sperm:( Seems something went amiss (tied some important tube?) when they did the op, but we didn't find out until he had the tests.

No cure, only ICSI (like IVF, but injecting the sperm directly to the egg) is the only course for us. Although miracles do happen so it's not zero % for natural conception:o

If you are concerned, your OH should have a Sperm Analysis to see if everything is OK down there.
    Secretdebts, massive hugs for CD1:(
    smiley_hug.gif
I think you are supposed to take folic acid throughout the pregnancy;)
Well done for the PMA list, the AF room looks great:T
Twigglets, massive hugs to you too:(
    smiley_hug.gif
Good luck at your blood test:o
borokat, which CD are you?:) Are you 2DPO?
    Candycane, welcome:wave:
I've added you to the first page, let me know if you'd like it changed:)
DibDabb, so sorry to see you back:(
Hope you'll get your forever baby very soon.
Skintchick, some say embryos that grows slower (late implantation) tends to be not as strong as faster growing ones, but it's not a rule.
Flee, mad hormones does not necessarily mean menopause:o
    MERFE, welcome back:wave:
Kitten_pie, hypothetically, I'd save the next day's FMU, and do a normal test, and if tlp, do a digi:cool:

Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
