Is it me or is this Friday afternoon dragging on and on and on??
What is everyones plans for the weekend? I am getting my hair cut!
I'm at home today so not dragging so muchI was supposed to be working from home today but the encrypted memory stick I brought my work home on is not working on our laptop.
We are having a big clear out of our house this weekend and getting rid of all the junk. Actually looking forward to it

We're having a big post-Christmas clearout too, and I may drag DH to IKEA, I want to replace our 2 ancient sets of drawers and manky canvas wardrobe with one large set of drawers and a proper wardrobe. THen we can move the bookshelf out of the small spare room into ours as it can't stay in there if we use it as a nursery.
I'm sure he'll resist though, he hates IKEA with a passion! :rotfl:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Oh how I love IKEAWe went in November and bought two massive bookcases and I love them soooo much. I love having all my books on display.
We've ordered two cabinets for our CDs and DVDs which match the bookshelves. They are coming next week.

I love it too, and I've picked out the drawers and wardrobe I want, so it won't even take that long :rotfl:
I do have an interior design dilemma though - the drawers and wardrobe match our existing bedside tables, which are in a birch veneer, but last year we got a dark brown leather sleigh bed. If we get the new drawers and wardrobe to match the existing ones, I'm not sure if it will look right. they do the same range in dark brown, but we'd need new bedside tables too, which is another £80Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
I love IKEA too:happyhearLadies,
CBFM is £59.40 on Amazon. Is it a good price? Not sure if it's on promotion or this is amazon's normal price. Debating whether to buy it or not. Any recommendations?LittleMoog wrote: »Is excessive thirst a pg symptom?..... :cool:0 -

Have you thought about painting the bedside tables? That would save you money. You can get paint that paints over veneer items (I used some to paint a load of shelves from a nasty black to a cream colour) that would work out a lot cheaper.

Good plan about the paint, I could try it out. They'd have to match the new drawers/wardrobe exactly though, as they're from the same range. I guess we could get the drawers and wardrobe in the new dark colour for now (as both current sets of drawers are disintegrating!) and get the bedside chests later if painting doesn't work outLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

LOL at the Pepperami fiasco TeamLowe! :rotfl:
Sorry about the embryo QQ, hope next time it works
I love Ikea too! OH only comes with me for the meatballs.I've more or less picked out everything we need for the flat so it'll finally look finished but it comes to about £600 for everything, why do I have to have expensive tastes even when shopping somewhere that's supposed to be 'cheap'?!

aRGHHHHHH has just lost the post I was writting.
Shall try again.
I love ikea although we don't go very often as its over a hours drive from where we live. I love their plates and nitty natty bits. Not so much their furniture but I am more of an antique furniture lover. Although my bookcases are Ikea,as they are so cheap and I've got masses of books and records.
I agree that this afternoon is dragging, but think it's because I am stuck at home waiting for the new oven to arrive. It should have arrived ages ago. The landlord has disconnected the other one as according to our housing contract we have to have them removed/connected by professionals. So if it doesn't come today I'll have no oven all weekend, good job I did a soup in the slow cooker yesterday.
Kavics, have a look on ebay sometimes you can get lucky and get a good priced CBFM. We got ours second hand much cheaper than amazon and with about 54 sticks.
Congratulations to those with BFP's and TLP's!Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
