9DPO I was shivering with cold in the afternoon and in the evening I had very light spotting for a few hours.
10 DPO, my boobs hurt A LOT and I had a sudden surge of nauseu for about 1 hour then !!!!!! back to normal!
12-14DPO My knickers felt damp throughout the day and I had to keep checking to see if AF had arrived however there was only ever a small amount of clear discharge sometimes with some white bits
15DPO, AF arrived bang on time. This morning it was a little more watery than usual and now this evening it seems normal.

All of the above symptoms are something which I have never ever experienced before so when I read up after they occured, I found they were all pregnancy symptoms.

I bought a pregnancy test today from Poundland (AF arrived this morning) and did the test this evening and it was 100% negative.

Does the above sound like a chemical pregnancy, is it normal for AF to arrive on time?

Hi Athina, I don't know much about chemical pregnancy - but I do know that last cycle I had lots of symptoms which I thought were pregnancy symptoms after I'd read up on them, including some nausea, swollen boobs, thinking I was about to get AF any minute and feeling damp.... but I wasn't pregnant, and in my case I do think I was almost wishing symptoms to appear.. I don't want to belittle what might have been something more for you, but I think for me some of it was probably my mind bringing on symptoms.

Hugs for AF and hope this cycle will be the one for your BFP!

    xx

Hi athina, I don't know very much about chemicals either, sorry, but I think the mind can be very clever and cruel. I have had some cycles where I have convinced myself that I must be pregnant and have had lots of symptoms and I haven't been. I also think that, for me anyway, having my implant removed played a part in it as I hadn't had a period for several years and it is taking me a while to work out what twinges and feelings are "normal" for my cycle, and having plenty of AF symptoms which are similar to pregnancy symptoms is horrible.
I'm sure that someone more knowledgable than me will be along soon, the possibility of having a chemical is sad, and I hope you are okay x

Aw, poor you, being sick is horrible :( I started being sick about a week after my BFP last time and was still being sick the day he was born, so I feel your pain. It was really strange when I got my BFP at about 5 weeks I felt great, my skin was lovely, shiny healthy hair etc and at about 6ish weeks my hair went greasy, I got spots and coldsores and started puking for Scotland-thanks crazy hormones, :rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks all :). I never took the pill, we always used condoms in the past so spotting is something which there really is no explanation for as I have never had it before. Oh well, I guess I will never know!

I think if you had had a chemical pregnancy more often than not a HPT would still be showing a faint positive at this stage. Did you have any clots with AF? The sore boobs, spotting and CM can also be signs of AF arriving, so may have just been that.

As you HPT is now negative and you haven't seen a positive one this cycle it is impossible to say whether you'd had a chemical pg or not.

    ((hugs)) for you.

    xx

Good luck at bootcamp snowy. Just think how nice the hot shower at the end of it will feel. Let us know what you did too - I'd be interested to get some ideas.
Well bootcamp was fun, although it was chucking down, so I was wet, cold and having todo push ups in the mud.
There was a lot of running and squats and lunges, but all good fun. Was so glad to get in the bath when I got home.
